After the ukraine situation when the EU proposed sanctions, the delivery costs on amazon went insane
It currently costs $10-15 to deliver anything. The entire market looks like picrelated
It's unreasonable to order anything under like $50-60 from amazon anymore, because of the delivery costs
So people just buy from ali because the delivery is cheap and the overall prices are cheaper because they're not as dollar-inflated as amazon is

In AliExpress, it's more likely for you to scam the seller than vice versa

Scammed - very low.
Getting fake shit that doesnt work or has inflated characteristics are pretty high, but if you're careful and have a brain you can avoid that.
Expect all photos and description to lie and exaggarate, always check reviews and buyers photos.

Aliexpress has literally the best customer support across all online trading platform.
It's very easy to get a refund if your order is somehow fucked up, even if it's not the sellers fault. Every dispute is pretty much guaranteed to be resolved in buyers favour. Up to the point that it's exploitable.
Good fucking luck proving to amazon or ebay your order did not arrive or broken.

I bought on Ali only twice, android tablet device and PC mouse. Both time it was delivered under one month (3 weeks iirc).
3 years this fall and my tablet still alive, working like new. Tablet was cheap as dirt, around $100 if converted. Use it only while at workplace, to kill time watching movies/tv/reading ebooks/manga.
$30 mouse also still alive after first year. Scroll wheel have the same problem as any other mouse I ever had

Chinese products had terrible reputation in the past. Now I can't say the same. It's cheap, but it work well for it's money and clearly not being made for being used only one time. And if you not buying from obviously scammy seller you'll be fine and will get your package. Sellers care about their reputation on Ali (it's their bread).

You may get a indistinguishable copy that might even be better than the original in quality or sometimes you can find a black market originals.
Most likely you'll get obvious fake shit though.
But really don't buy fake clothes. Just fish for discounts.
