Cat's often roam free and kill local birds and small animals, whereas dogs are supervised and leashed. We don't have stray dogs here but wild cats and "outdoors cats" are somewhat a problem.

lol we're the opposite. not to say we don't have stray cats, but stray dogs are at least twice as common and a much bigger problem since they usually need to be fed by someone who lives near and some will even attack civilians depending on how long they've been on their own
