Is it absolutely doomed with no hope for salvation? No, absolutely not. There will be struggles, and there will be new problems to deal with that we haven't dealt with before, but we will adapt, and will overcome those problems as a species, as we always have, and always will. We must struggle and persevere in the face of adversity if we are to continue as a species. Giving up is not an option.
