The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race...

The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. They have greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in “advanced” countries, but they have destabilized society, have made life unfulfilling, have subjected human beings to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering (in the Third World to physical suffering as well) and have inflicted severe damage on the natural world. The continued development of technology will worsen the situation. It will certainly subject human being to greater indignities and inflict greater damage on the natural world, it will probably lead to greater social disruption and psychological suffering, and it may lead to increased physical suffering even in “advanced” countries.

then go live in the woods and die of an infected toe.

>fundamental problems only matter if you know about them
why do mutts praise stupidity and ignorance

ah yes the glories of dying of cholera at 35

I prefer to die young while living a good life than to die old while living a shitty life

nice strawmen

its not a strawman. the dangers of a primitive lifestyle are very real. infection is a constant threat aswell as contaminated water sources.
add to that potential starvation from a very irregular food supply and all your children dying from shitting themselves to death. you dont need to go full retarded primitivist if you find your current livestyle unfullfilling. just move to the countryside, get a job working outside, maybe farmwork or forrestry.

Go live in the forest like a savage. When we want your land we'll come for you.

>have subjected human beings to indignities
oh the good old days of dignified serfdom and slavery. really miss those.

>OMG NOOO natural life is so scary i wanna stay in the city as a corporate urbanite slave and eat food laced with estrogen and toxins and die from carcinogenic agents polluting the environment

Attached: 1559230818184.png (211x239, 8K)

I lived both in tokyo and a small cabin in the woods before. a simpler life has its perks but full on primitivism cursing civilisation is retarded. the only read advantages are fresh air, good exposure to sunlight and manual labor. all of wich you can get quite easily otherwise.
and also
>eat food laced with estrogen and toxins and die from carcinogenic agents polluting the environment

lmao, "toxic" food. you know whats much more toxic? eating food that has gone bad due to lack of your "carcinogenic toxins".

I think there needs to be a certain balance between primitive and current society. So yeah the countryside does indeed seem like the best option right now.

>infection is a constant threat aswell as contaminated water sources.
no they weren't
you're thinking of post-hunter gatherers

yes they still were due to lack of antibiotics. and contaminated water is still a problem even today in developing countries. Diarrhea kills small children extremly easily, they dont have enough fluids too loose. some of my relatives children died because of it in a soviet gulag because they had no medicine.

only thing I might give you is irregular food supply, but op didnt state how far back his "ideal" society is.

Natural life IS scary in South America. I'm not living in the rainforest.

Based and Unabomberpilled

Fuck you psyop cunt. It's American liberalism. It's the imf and wto. It's not the technology. Fuck you to death.

>greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in “advanced” countries

We score like 43rd for life expectancy and have the worst maternal and infant mortality rates in the OECD. There is nothing advanced about America

...he posted, from his computer, using the internet, on Jow Forums.

this is what cucks believe. If you're not a citycuck you're going to die immediately in the woods. Fucking kill yourself city nigger.

I am not a city cuck faggot.
op doesnt advocate for just going "innawoods".
he claims the entire industrial revolution a mistake. the industrial revolution made work on the countryside a hell of a lot easier.

Blow it out your ass

nice copy and paste to the first paragraph fagg. but also based and ted pilled

If the technoindustrial system collapses the probable result will be a reversion to a situation roughly equivalent to that which existed several hundred years ago, in the sense that people will live under widely varying conditions in different parts of the world. There will be sickness and health, full bellies and starvation, hatred and love, brotherhood and ethnic bitterness, war and peace, justice and oppression, violence and kindliness, freedom and servitude, misery and contentment. But it will be a world in which such a thing as freedom will at least be possible, even through everyone might not have it.

FUCK NATURE. ACCELERATE.

Hey Ted, didn't know they were letting you use the internet in prison.

>only thing I might give you is irregular food supply, but op didnt state how far back his "ideal" society is.
Kaczynski specifically addresses the industrial revolutio, though he seems to want a hunter-gatherer type society, he doens't quite address what the ideal society would be, just that technology is bad.

How is that a strawman? It's a legitimate counterargument. You don't even know what a strawman is.

It's not a strawman, but to be fair, he did go live in the forest.

Also he used to be extremely hot.

Attached: Ted Kaczynski3.jpg (537x528, 58K)

Everything you listed applies to current times, also you are mistaken if you think that after all the discoveries on thermodynamic, engines, mecha principles, biology, agronom, chemistry etc. we're going centuries back in time. It will be an odd mix of modernity and rusticity.

Kaczynski was mentally ill

6/10 at best

Not really. I think his schizophrenia diagnosis is really questionable, he didn't seem schizo at all and didn't really seem to have many of the common/normal symptoms of it. Someone having an extreme philosophy isn't the same as being mentally ill.

Attached: ted in montana.jpg (500x392, 98K)

Even if he didn't have schizophrenia, he was mentally ill. He wasn't just ideologically radical, he was a deranged terrorist

I guess there are a lot of mentally ill burgers on top of your military hierarchy

How exactly was he deranged though? Everything he did was pretty consistent, even if morally questionable or wrong. His manifesto is carefully organized and well thought out.

Are you accusing our military of terrorism?

I'd say you're wrong but it's all a question of taste.

Attached: ted kaczynski young.jpg (306x423, 42K)

>how was he deranged
takes a little derangement to commit a number of premeditated terrorist murders. his manifesto is well thought out because he was a certified genius, albeit a deranged one.

I am accusing your military of war crimes, infamy, felons of the Geneva convention, genocidal warmongers

You should look up what words like "insane" and "deranged" mean. Doing bad things is not insane, they're two completely different things.

Fag

Even I know our military is horrible.

>doing bad things isn't insane
But committing a number of premeditated anarcho primitivist terrorist murders IS insane.

They do what they have to do, such is the burden of an empire, same goes for a lone genius

Your country doesn't even have forests

There's some back and forth as to his real vs. stated motivations but no, as per what he stated, it wasn't insane at all. If he's insane then all terrorists or even protesters who commit acts of violence are insane. Do you think Timothy McVeigh or the 9/11 bombers are also insane?

Yes I do believe all those people were insane.

You're too liberal with the use of that word then.

In the very least they were all mentally ill, unhinged, and not right in the head. There was something bad that took them

I dream of living in the countryside where I can fish and swim in the nearby river.

"Not right in the head" might be applicable, though even that is debatable. The others are just not right, they have distinct meanings that do not apply to acts of political terrorism. Or at the very least, not to this case; he made rational, thought out (if immoral) decisions that were carefully planned. That's the complete opposite of insane or mentally ill (in the legal sense).

The Neolithic Revolution was a mistake.

Attached: 1559156947432.jpg (1080x1331, 135K)

This, Kaczynski didn't go far enough.

Humans have always adapted to their environment, it's one of the reasons that we have advanced as far as we have as a species. Every new advancement leads to growing pains, and there will inevitably be mistakes and setbacks on the road to progress. However, that does not mean we should abandon progress out of anxiety and fear of the unknown, because stagnation inevitably leads to ruin. As far as damage to the environment goes, most big players on the international stage are already well aware of the damage being done and scientists and researchers around the globe are working on ways to counteract it. Just recently a group of researchers modified a bacteria that can eat plastic and produce water as a byproduct. Once that is ramped up to industrial scale, we can begin to clean the oceans of trash. Carbon pollution is already being tackled through a number of methods, with new advances being made all the time. Is the future going to be all sunshine and rainbows? No, it is not. Is it absolutely doomed with no hope for salvation? No, absolutely not. There will be struggles, and there will be new problems to deal with that we haven't dealt with before, but we will adapt, and will overcome those problems as a species, as we always have, and always will. We must struggle and persevere in the face of adversity if we are to continue as a species. Giving up is not an option.

I'm not talking about in the legal sense. I'm just saying he was a nutcase, a wackjob. Just because his logic checked out doesn't mean he was rational.

>Just because his logic checked out doesn't mean he was rational.
He was though. Or, how wasn't he? Just because something is morally wrong doesn't make it irrational.

People already live under widely varying conditions in different parts of the world.

Also there won't be any collapse of the "technoindustrial" system and even if there's a big war (which sadly for you, it's not going to happen, you are going to lick the balls of corporations, globalization and your jewish masters every single day of your long life from 9 to 5 and beyond + tip) the knowledge accumulated wouldn't be just like forgotten. On the contrary, wars tend to bring up more tech advances, so everything would be more tech-enhanced afterwards.

>people will live under widely varying conditions in different parts of the world.
Sounds a lot like 2019

If I act against industrialization, this does not mean that I forbid myself to use a computer. I could live without it.

He might be referring to first world countries, where people typically tend to live similar lifestyles and with access to similar goods regardless of culture/geography as compared to the high degrees of variability based on environment one would see in a situation without technology/industry.

He was salty about being verbally abused under MKUltra and lashed out against the system

Also, he was irrational to think a reasonable number of people would actually join him in trying to actually bring about his ideal society. He was just lost in idealism which is irrational. Instead of living in a dream world he could have made efforts to make modern society more human, or at least acted like one for his friends and family.

Imagine how much acid they gave him.

He had no friends. On that note I think he would have been better off joining a hippie commune, as they would have been somewhat closer to his "ideal" society of living off the land in more tribal or communal settings. He was just too autistic and I guess they would have been too "leftist" for him.

He actually stated that he was aware that his actions might hurt his cause, but it also brought it a ton of attention that it otherwise never would have possibly gotten. In that he wasn't irrational at all, terrorist attacks get more attention than just some rando publishing a manifesto. I also think you underestimate the number of people who agree with him and like his ideas. The problem is though that it's hard and unpleasant to give up technology. I will say this though, one thing I've been noticing more and more (on both the left and right sides of the spectrum) is a growing hatred and dislike for the current "system" and people wanting to go back to more simple lifestyles (though of course the specifics vary). Enough of that and something like his revolution might be possible, especially since there is a backbone of environmental concern to all of it.

I think anyone who cannot see the cracks in society right now are delusional
I’ve started prepping slightly by storing some food, building my bug out bag, getting extra equipment for my car.

Don't forget to bring a solar flashlight.

You should also start planning on learning how to farm, fish/hunt and look for wild foods to eat. I'm doing the same but unfortunately I have little time and live too far from real wilderness to do any real hunting.

primitivism is fucking dumb. I'm all for the acceleration of technology so humanity can become the great species they were destined to be. New technologies bring new problems but it's no reason to go back to living like fucking savages.

Attached: 1500611407857.jpg (1024x730, 97K)

You can opt out of society if you please. Just live in the wilderness and evade anyone who may try and find you.

Humanity isn't inherently destined to be anything.

It's the aura of a 167 IQ.

One thing i dont get with the varg narrative is.. 3 things we still need even when we live in permaculture village is hospitals, sience researchers for spaceguns to shot down incoming comets and military so industrial nations dont invade. The people who are gonna be involved in these need a surplus?

Attached: 1558714067852s.jpg (250x167, 9K)

What are you asking? Can you reformulate your question?

I mean every single family and home cant be the same living as farmers and slaughtererers for them selfs as we need spcialists in at least 3 different compartments made possible by food surplus.. Am i correct in this?

Cave and grugpilled.
