I doubt any of you have even read this, but you must. Essentially, Bitcoin's future is secured and you should be excited about it.
Institutional investors will arrive, they will begin accumulating in November 2018 and explode in Feb 2019 with ETFs. BAKKT will bring in the institutional investors, fund managers and financial institutions first, and BTC will start to go into 401k's, hedges portfolios, and value stores.
PHASE 2 will then see BAKKT target RETAIL, with Starbucks as first runner. The BAKKT app will bring mobile payments via bitcoin, to everyday normie retailers. Yes, its centralised, but no, it doesn't matter. It will still be able to thrive as a peer to peer currency with the increased acceptance that all of this will bring it
Now, financial institutions and large retailers owning BTC will mean they will want to take it to the moon. We just have to wait.
>somewhere you can buy coins is useless unless you want to dump your coins

>he things barts have anything to do with news not gonna make it
BAKKT is just another btc futures market that will pull the price down
Kayden Mitchell
It's deliverable though.

Yes OP, when people want to buy their morning starbucks, instead of quickly using their debit card to pay like they normally do, they will want to first have to buy bitcoin, wait for the 6 confirmations on the blockchain, then use the Bakkt app on their phone to pay.
No retard they will have the option to. Price will increase due to speculation, doesn't matter that nobody will use it.
Andrew Reyes
gud 1 kys

Mmmmmm yeah......it sounds like you're getting sucked into the news for what you want it to make happen, instead of being objective about it.
Cooper Powell
News & speculation have been historically driving Bitcoin's price since forever. It has nothing to do with its usefulness (it's useless).
What you said about people not wanting to buy starbucks with Bitcoin you can say about any product. No one want to use it because it sucks. Doesn't mean they won't buy it.
Zachary Powell
Fucking everything in this. This.

Stop feeding the pigeons you stupid coon, you'll only attract more.

Hope they change the god awful name

BAKKT is just another exchange, who think they're going to replace debit cards and things like Apple Pay, because they think they'll be able to double dip on processing fees on retail, and then conversion fees to their token/platform.
IF they get the regulatory issues cleared, which is unlikely.
IF they get retailers to buy in, which is iffy.
IF they get the laws changed, because US customers of BAKKT will have to report every transaction they do through BAKKT on their taxes.
But you keep believing the smoke and mirrors, dummy. This is just Microsoft landing a fat whale for their Azure bullshit, which will go nowhere once the SEC says "yeah, no" to their platform.
"Institutional investors" are completely disinterested in this, and the PR release last week was universally ignored in that world.
But you keep thinking you know things, it's fucking adorable.
Ayden Parker
the real cashgrab is making the social media wallet app on your phone that you can swish a cardpad to pay for shit in bitcoin, that guy is going to be the world's first trillionaire

She can't act, and her thick Puerto Rican accent makes it hard to cast her.
I just hope she gets to the 'I gotta show my tits in public" stage before she fades into obscurity.

>Institutional investors are already here
Always funny. They're nowhere near crypto, you poor retard. Those guys have to answer to their boards and their customers, and none of them can sell percentage points on a useless, irrational thing like crypto. Nobody - and I mean fucking nobody - who is in the money game is going to try and sell their customers and their money on crypto. They've had years to get in, and none have, and none will, unless it's regulated to death where they can show their customers that their money is safe in it. If you think "institutional" money is in crypto, it just shows what a pathetic loser you are, and that you believe in fairy tales.

this is why people holding alts (with the exception of ethereum) and going to be left holding the crypto bag for the next few years.
outside of retail speculators, there's very little interest in any of these altcoins, and where do you think the retain investors will flock to when they get wind that everybody else is only looking at a small subset of networks out there.
Jacob Morales
Oh, god, more Mastercard bullshit. They patented something, with no announcement or discussion if they even plan to do anything with it. lol. Yeah, patent squatting NEVER happens, ever.
Thomas Richardson
"The goal is to clear the way for major money managers to offer Bitcoin mutual funds, pension funds, and ETFs, as highly regulated, mainstream investments"

if it wasn't going to get regulatory approval they wouldn't even get it started retard. they've obviously got the all clear on that front. and azure deals a lot with backend payment systems so that is a perfect match
they're settled in btc. why would you short something to receive more of that thing instead of go long and receive more of it at a higher value?
how dumb can you be to assume that the whole reason they're developing whatever solution they're developing, is because they will be able to skirt around these problems using their backend

once decentralized internet hosting and usage comes I will definately start up a few of my sites desu.
