My first sliver purchase

How’d I do? I got some American silver eagles some Panda’s and Maple Leafs.

Am I going to make it with 100k link and this silver stack?

buy gold instead

gold would be nice but too expensive, keep stacking eagles.

After recently trying to sell a bunch of silver I bought years ago, I'd say focus on getting the lowest price over spot because it's all treated as generic silver when you go to sell.

just buy junk silver, it's much cheaper and more collectable

Silver to gold ratio though. Better off buying silver I feel?

This is what I wasn’t sure about. Will I get the premium back when I go to sell. I guess you’d recommend stacking rounds?

If you are just looking to buy silver, you wasted a bit of money buying the Chinese pandas. Having coins is a relatively good thing because they are relatively difficult to counterfeit. The Canadian maple leafs and American silver eagles are good coins to buy if you're living in the U.S. or Canada as they are highly recognized. You'll get some of the premium back when you sell and the amount of premium you get back will depend on demand at the time of selling.

If you're just looking to buy silver at the lowest possible premium, though, you should be buying bars. Thing is, I don't know what kind of trouble you'll go through when you sell them again as I would imagine that they should be assayed when selling.

I sold a variety of US & Canadian coins, bars ranging from 1-100 Oz, and rounds to a variety of different buyers ranging from kitco, coinshops, and individuals. They were all considered just silver with no regard to the mint or premium. The only exception was a few individuals were willing to pay a bit more but it was hard to find anyone who wanted to buy more than 10 Oz.
