My aunt married someone from another city. But her husband is traveling so she came back to stay at grandma's house for a while. But she still has a dentist appointment in that other city. And she is afraid of driving so me and a cousin of mine took her there. When we went to the dentist with her he said to her that her brother and his wife were here earlier.
Her brother (my uncle) and his wife live in grandma's house. But he only comes home twice a month or so. He didn't spend much time home or with his wife and son. It's been like this for the past decade.
So after we were done with the dentist she called her brother's wife (who was at my grandma's house all day) and asked her if she went to the dentist with my uncle. But my uncle's wife said she didn't.
So then she called her brother and told him that the dentist said that he and his wife visited. So then he spilled the beans.
He said that he has a 2nd wife and two kids with her.
And literally no one knows about this except me, my aunt and my cousin.
I have 2 cousins that I never met and I only recently knew they exist.

Malta was always considered important due to its strategic location I guess being located between Africa and Europe. Also Malta has low lying lands in the East so it was easier to dock in than other close islands like Pantelleria, Lampedusa.
It's also likely that today's Maltese are directly descended from Fatimid Arab speakers from Sicily considering that the Arab empire prior to them depopulated Malta.
