For starters, the universe was not created out of nothing -- this is a misconception brainlets make when they try to understand the Big Bang and the creation of the universe. As time passed the matter stew lost more energy forming the first atom and molecule hydrogen from then on all of that hydrogen compacted into a mega star that exploded producing higher elements like helium and carbon then the leftovers from that initial explosion became the remainder of all baryonic matter in our universe right now.

It's impossible to tell what happened to a singularity that obeyed completely different laws of physics.

The current laws of physics didn't apply before the big bang because the forces (Strong nuclear force, Gravity, Electromagnetism, Weak nuclear force) only came into existence a couple of microseconds after the big bang (we can actually verify this).

The singularity of the universe were subject to another pair of physical laws that were completely different to the laws of physics we currently have. And it's impossible to find out what those were because the current laws of physics prohibit us from doing so.

Blacks holes, for example, are singularities within the universe, so they are not singularities by themselves, they rely on portion of universe' matter. At the core both black hole and big bang have singularities that mathematics cannot compute accurately and call it "infinitesimal" and leave it as such, but just like how there's an infinite number between 1 and 2(1.1, 1.11, 1.111, 1.1111, ....1.99999.. etc) and infinite number between 1 and 10. Yet both are classified as infinites.

So why the universe "exploded" is a slight mystery with few potential workarounds. Some theorize that big bang is just a series of infinite big bangs in the sea of the greater universal field. So there exists infinite amount of big bangs and universes all across the existence and our universe is not in anyway unique. Other explanations are also similar but take a more string approach to where the big bangs are like vibrations of a string that created a chain reaction within the universal field. The common theme is there seems to be a field of some sort where the singularity rises expands into a universe and potentially infinite other exists.

But, again, none of that implies the intelligent, benevolent creator.
