Democracy was a mistake.
Reminder that the students were neo-maoists and liberals that were against the Deng reforms.
Smart Chinese died in Tiananmen Square.
It was the correct decision. Students are idealistic idiots who didnt know what they were doing.
>the students were neo-maoists and liberals
Today is the 30th anniversary tiny part of Western propaganda war against China
Why did the PRC not topple like happened in Eastern Europe? One reason may be in the fact that by the 80s, the Eastern Bloc was mostly governed by third-generation communist leaderships. China was still under the control of people like Deng Xiaoping who'd been there since the beginning and were more willing to use force to preserve the regime's power.
Leftist lies
The students were anti-communist
He didn't get run over.
The Tiananmen Square what?
The students were like 1/100 of the protests though.
About half of them were liberals who demanded political liberalization, the other half were hardline commies upset that Deng had dismantled the Iron Rice Bowl, although the Western media (obviously) chose to focus on the former.
Nothing happened during that day, it's all jewish lies.
The #1 song on the Billboard that week was Michael Damian--Rock On.

The fate of the tank man is unknown, but he's presumed to have survived. Jiang Zemin told Bill Clinton that he was "never killed."
50 krona have been deposited in your Nordea Bank account.
Too bad USSR didnt do the same
why tanks massacre thousands of people but no video or photographic evidence, yet can't run over single man when someone is hiding with camera?
I search in Baidu. Not find.
you can see them singing the international in the footage.
Wut there is tons of other videos and photographs. Ironically the full historical record is better know among Chinese lel.
Baidu was censored. Because It is Chinese enterprise.
Finns used Mark.
he was executed later.

If it's supposed to be such a forbidden subject why does everyone seemingly talk about it constantly?
>Students
>Smart
Pick one my nigga. I am saying this as an undergraduate myself, not a tradie
It's not forbidden at all. It's just Americans think that Chinese are tricked by these evil commies, but once they will find out the truth they will start to worship the USA. Too bad Chinese people don't give a flying fuck about killing some faggish protesters.
>The Tian- what? Never heard that thing happened.
Cause it's the anniversary.
But people don't really talk about it very much they just post this picture over and over again. I doubt most people know much about what happened. Unless they are Chinese in which case they do because it personally affected millions of people.
>Reads post
>Looks at flag
Ah yes. Yes, I understand
>If it's supposed to be such a forbidden subject why does everyone seemingly talk about it constantly?
Because its forbidden in China, not the rest of the world.
these 5th column revisionist Soros shills got exactly what they deserved. they could have followed examples of Lei Feng but they chose death instead.
It's censored but not as suppressed as people imply. Chinese people talk about it without repercussions and the students there are still in China and are professors and shit now. It's reached some critical mass now where people who only see the picture in the OP don't have idea what actually happened and just straight up lie and say 10,000 people were killed and shit and act like the CCP only exists because of their janky ass censorship.
Soros literally tired to claim responsibility for the protests at Davos this year and it's incredibly galling that he thinks he's that special.
maoism was already prohibited by chink gov btw
>ywn beat up and indiscriminately kill jeolla gooks in 1980 listening to 조용필.
They were literally singing the internationale.
This is riot.
This so-called "massacre" never took place. You're all delusional. Stop falling for propaganda.
ITT: Ching chong ping pong
Did you guys learn about this incident at school?
more people died at gwangju than Tiananmen we are superior at the chinks game of massacring protestors.
posted from a huawei
if only the soviets had learn from this, sigh
No, we were simply too busy with our learning about the Holocaust and lampshades/soap made from Jew flesh
You mean China's national anthem?
Subways?
The national anthem is actually called "March of the Volunteers" and as with the Soviet anthem, the lyrics have been altered from time to time with changing political circumstances.

What you described is more accurate for overseas Chinese community than what actually happen within mainland China. Sure, many people experienced the even back then still remain in China and they do remember what happens, but younger generations usually don't have that much knowledge as it is not that common for older generations in their family to actively and openly share the event with them. More people learn about it from anti-CPC propaganda as they have maximum influence to those who are trying to bypass the government information censorship and that's why it is difficult for them to get a full view on the history at the time.

Passing mention
Why are chinks so loyal to the state?
The government feed their citizens like pets
The USSR would've collapsed into violent rebellion if they had tried. Remember what happened when the hardliners tried to coup Gorbachev?
We built about 15 km of track in Toronto over the last ten years and it was IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. Seeing China's progress you just know the west is doomed. Same problem as Poland in the High Ages (democracy for nobles) - any idiot can veto anything and destroy progress. And we have a lot of idiots here.

Based chinks. Fuck the neoliberal project.
They saw their standard of living improve over the years. People are less likely to rebel when things are improving
The protestors were communists. Soros wouldn't have funded them, he spent most of his life trying to get the soviet union to collapse.
How did you get past the great firewall?
Jow Forums membership can bypass recaptcha service. Jow Forums itself is too small of a site for Chinese government to block it

For 2-1/2 years afterwards, China reverted to a xenophobic neo-Stalinism and relations with the US seriously deteriorated despite Beijing's insistence that it still welcomed foreign investment and business. Washington was charged with "engaging in a decades-long conspiracy to subvert Chinese socialism and return China to a position where it can be exploited by foreign imperialism." The collapse of communism in Eastern Europe probably also played a part, although Beijing pragmatically granted diplomatic recognition to all former Soviet republics. Although the PRC would not publicly opine on the collapse of communism on the grounds that it was "the internal affair of those nations," internal documents circulated by the party held up Deng Xiaoping's blunt judgement that "By allowing the return of capitalism, the Soviets had therefore made a colossal mistake in choosing Gorbachev as their leader." The Iraqi invasion of Kuwait was criticized, but China also objected to the UN coalition's intervention, arguing that it was "a local crisis that should be resolved by the Arab states among themselves." In April 1991, Premier Li Peng visited Moscow where a crowd of student demonstrators denounced him as an executioner. Li showed where his loyalties lay by placing a wreath on Lenin's tomb and declaring that "World socialism will surmount its current difficulties." Soviet hard-liners, then plotting the abortive August coup, reportedly met with Li and had an "exchange of views." Had the coup succeeded, it's highly likely that a major Sino-Soviet rapproachment would have happened.
China's sudden ideological retrenchment was countered when the 87 year old Deng Xiaoping emerged from retirement in 1992 to visit the southern coastal cities and promote his vision of "market socialism." He also criticized the party for its "continuing leftism."

I know people who were there.
Literally nobody denies it happened. Redditors are just very confused and easily manipulated people. Pay no mind.
This and all that remain are insect slaves of the CCP. Which is why I hate mainland China and its people. Taiwanese and other Chinks are fine.
The what?...
>Doesn't get enough (you)s so samefags agreeing with himself.
Sad
so the Chinese are basically mindless drones?
