Sincerely, Ashley W. from CS

This guy

Shitalians defeated themselves

yeah but UK+USSR were kinda irrelevant and China couldn't have won against Japan on its own

the king of Italy

That's like listing Brazil as one of the countries that defeated Germany.

brazil

Or the US

Italy can be defeated only from within

We are a nation of selfish backstabbers that have no sense of pride and honor.
We joined a war and surrendered once we realized we weren't winning due to our incompetence. After that, the partriotic "partigiani" came out of the holes they were hiding to kill a few germans and are still seen as heroes and liberators while in reality their contribution was meaningless.

>Who defeated Italy?
Britain

>we surrendered once we realised we weren't winning
Unironically the most intelligent thing to do

Never heard about of Operation August Storm

Tsc tsc

the most intelligent would have been to not participate at all like Spain did

Wrong
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_invasion_of_Manchuria

And China defeated 80% of japanese infantry

Imagine a world where fascist italy didnt join the axis...

UK fought the Japs in all of southeast asia, more important than GIs

I don't blame Italy, both Japan and Germany had been already infiltrated by Jew long before the war begun. we were defeated by ourselves in truth.

USSR only joined the war when Germany was defeated, also they had no means of reaching the Japanese mainland unlike the US
the UK couldn't have even survived against Germany without US assistance, to say they were more important than the US in the fight against Japan is laughable

>Being this retarded
We crippled and destroyed their industry, how can the performance of Japs with no weapons or bullets compare to the well armed fleets we faced? It was a cakewalk for us still.

Stop learning history thru Shitwood Hans

number of dead people is tragic but it doesn't reflect how much China contributed to the defeat of Japan. China had no way of defeating Japan on its own, if you believe otherwise you're delusional.

>IF u dun do human wave tactics u dun contributeeee hurrrrr
War is won by crippling your enemy, not by how many peasants you throw into machine gun fire.

>the UK couldn't have even survived against Germany without US assistance, to say they were more important than the US in the fight against Japan is laughable
We survived well enough during the Battle of Britain and destroyed just about your entire Luftwaffe when the rest of the world had already written us off. Also don't underestimate the contribution of our intelligence agencies cracking German and Japanese wartime codes. We gave the US all the information about Japanese positioning and tactics ahead of the battle, which proved crucial in the decisive naval battles in the Pacific in 1942.

Youse definitely held out on your own in 1940 but you never would've regained the initiative without America.

>We survived well enough during the Battle of Britain
yes
>and destroyed just about your entire Luftwaffe
no
the Luftwaffe was destroyed by the USAAF when they introduced the long range P-51s in late 1943
plus the UK was dependent on American money, food, resources, everything. Britain wouldn't have survived without the US.

>Sits around doing nothing in the pacific
>Abandon their colonies and take their vital troops to sit in Africa doing nothing for a year
>Point to Guadalcanal and give a vague assessment on Japanese troop concentration
>Miss the entire Japanese fleet a few miles away
>WeRE the BRainZ in DIs bitch

Others italians. They changed sides like the cowards they are

>they had no means of reaching the Japanese mainland unlike the US
if you think that soviet soldier wouldn't swim to japan on his own w/o a boat just to btfo slit eyed criminals ur wrong

thread should've ended here

>Operation August Storm
>tries to play smart when it wasnt even called "operation august storm"

Better to die like a man than to live like a rat

yes
stfu

>Live like a rat
Aren't you used to that though? Why send millions of men to die for people who thought half your country weren't Aryan anyway?

Ah yes, another opportunity to post this

>lel
UK was the only country to fight Germany from start to the end
>US AND USSR
in the fight against Japan the USSR and UK were irrelevant compared to the US

Because they were your allies?
Besides, who cares about this aryan stuff? It was a german only thing.

Italy didn't entered the war as a german puppet state, but as allied power on their own right

Lend-lease didn't start until 1941. Britain held off invasion in 1940 all on its own.

The Pacific was off auxiliary concern to us. Why would we throw our troops at it when the mainland is being invaded? And the second highest priority was securing oil in North Africa.

Why were anglos so useless at war?

Pacific was not UK's contribution, Malaysia, Burma and finally stopping the japanese in India was their feats

You are correct, but defeating an invasion force (with guerrilla tactics and asymmetric warfare) is a walk in the park compared to invading a country's mainland. Especially a country like Japan who worshiped their Emperor down to the last man, almost fanatically. (Compare that to Mussolini, who was mutilated on the streets, and Hitler, whose suicide was kept secret because his upper command would know the average German would mass-mutiny the moment they knew he was dead)

Ultimately, this is why the nukes were used. It unironically saved human life, both of Japanese and Americans.

>Lend-lease didn't start until 1941. Britain held off invasion in 1940 all on its own.
yes and the war lasted longer than 1941

Pretty sure the British were constrained by u-boats in the North Sea/upper Atlantic so they couldn't resupply their colonies quite as well. I'm surprised Australia held on for as long as it did

Don't worry, you've got your own 'Singapore' embarrassment which you conveniently forget about. And you weren't even being attacked in 3 different continents at the time.

>8 December 1941
Hmm that date looks very suspicious! You might want to look it up ;)

Fuck Bennett that piece of shit.

Italy was pretending to be a bad guy. Italy waited for a right moment to be a good guy.

US+USSR defeated Japan

>in the fight against Japan the USSR and UK were irrelevant compared to the US
I dunno about that, alot of indians died killing japs

the japs were afraid of being occupied by you, not defeated by you

in the same way iraqis were not afraid of americans defeating them, but occupying them

We would have eastern europe tier economy but with Neoclassical buildings instead of commie blocks, and probably 1-2 millions of africans because decolonization

Also UK defeated Japan.

USSR wrecked japs. They also didn't afraid of nukes. Japan wanted to surrender because they was already lost.

i thought US and UK went into north africa and then climbed up Italy's boot to surrender them

see the UK and USSR didn't matter much against Japan, who defeated Japan was clearly the US.
it was the US that destroyed the Japanese navy, it was the US that blockaded and starved Japan, it was the US that bombed Japan to shit, it was the US that prepared an invasion of Japan (which no other country, neither the UK nor the USSR would've been capable of)
it's not as clear with Germany, while the USSR did the most on land, it was Britain that blockaded Germany and fought 1940-41 when nobody else did, and it was the US that destroyed the German air force, bombed us to shit and opened two fronts in Italy and France against Germany

>Japan wanted to surrender
That is funny considering they rejected the surrender terms. It took two nukes, Soviet invasion of Manchuria, and a coup d'etat to force the Emperor to surrender

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surrender_of_Japan

Yugoslavia

US+Aus+NZ defeated Japan

Japan wanted to surrender after conflict with USSR.

the USSR joined against Japan when Japan was about to surrender

UK and USSR too.

No, Japan didn't worry about nukes. being occupied by two countries is very bad. That is why they surrender.

Combined forces of USA and Britain beat the Italians

Yes, which is why it says

>While publicly stating their intent to fight on to the bitter end, Japan's leaders (the Supreme Council for the Direction of the War, also known as the "Big Six") were privately making entreaties to the publicly neutral Soviet Union to mediate peace on terms more favorable to the Japanese. While maintaining a sufficient level of diplomatic engagement with the Japanese to give them the impression they might be willing to mediate, the Soviets were covertly preparing to attack Japanese forces in Manchuria and Korea (in addition to South Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands) in fulfillment of promises they had secretly made to the United States and the United Kingdom at the Tehran and Yalta Conferences.

Japan wasn't afraid of you because you had no navy at the time. They wanted your support to make their surrender go from unconditional (what the UK, USA, and China wanted) to conditional. This was done to preserve the honor and majesty of the Emperor.

The moment you attacked them, it wasn't so much about Manchuria but instead the fact that the Soviets would not petition the allies for a conditional surrender on behalf of them. They knew they wouldn't get it anymore, so they accepted the unconditional surrender finally.

I suppose in a roundabout way, yes, the Soviet attack was indeed important, but only symbolically. I don't think the Japanese were afraid of any country that didn't have a navy prepared for a mainland invasion, and there were really only 1.5 countries on the planet who could have done that at that point in time

>being occupied by two countries is very bad.
I agree, there's even a video game about this too

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ring_of_Red

Italians switch sides and beat fascists, like Finland.

I'd barely even have heard of it if it weren't for Americans going on and on and on about it, they really do have a right chip on the shoulder for some reason.

Japan could end it like Germany. But America "saved" Japan.

Honestly it's pathetic the amount of time Americans try to shame a country over something when the exact same thing has happened to them

Culturally I just don't think they were the same. Hitler committed suicide like a coward. I couldn't see Japan's emperor doing the same

We would have ended like Franco Spain, probably even better since we didn't have a civil war.

Japan's Emperor just ordered other people to commit suicide instead

>exact same thing
>Pearl Harbor happened the day prior, a sneak attack that destroyed a big portion of our planes and ships
>Japan invaded the Philippines from Taiwan and arrived on its shore hours after Pearl Harbor happened

Yes this is totally equivalent to being in the year 1942, 3 months after the Japanese declared war on you, and after having already been at war with Germany for 3 years.

Or you could just admit you failed to protect your colonies despite being given months to do so during the war.

Not really. That's just a move to save face by the king and some politicians in Rome. After they "switched sides", the fascist government of Italy kept fighting just under a different name

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_Social_Republic

Actually the Philippines invasion didn't start until a few months until after Pearl Harbour, and lasted long enough for your ships to be repaired and reach the Philippines.

Our troops were busy fighting Germany and Italy in Europe and Africa, we didn't have any left to spare to go protect colonies in Asia. You were only fighting one enemy - Japan. And ironically the reason Malaysia and Singapore fell so fast was due to a total lack of air support. The only planes we had in that region were the American-made 'flying coffins'. I guess you can work out how they got the nickname. The eternal seppo strikes again.

>Actually the Philippines invasion didn't start until a few months until after Pearl Harbour
Did you even read my response?

Yes i'm not American, I can read. The Japanese invasion of the Philippines was not on 8th December.

Wait, that flag...

Stop posting. The combination of your illiteracy, arrogance, and nonsense is a bad look for your countrymen

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippines_Campaign_(1941–1942)#Initial_landings

>The 14th Army began its invasion with a landing on Batan Island (not to be confused with Bataan Peninsula), 120 miles (190 km) off the north coast of Luzon, on 8 December 1941, by selected naval infantry units. Landings on Camiguin Island and at Vigan, Aparri, and Gonzaga in northern Luzon followed two days later.

It was literally the entire fucking point of Pearl Harbor you mong. The Japs hoped to either gain immediate concessions from us (leading to eventual control of the Pacific, including your colonies), but they weren't certain we would agree to such terms. Thus, they hedged their bets by combining the sneak attack with taking over the most pro-American country in Asia/Oceania, the Philippines. Strategically it was sound, but the problem of course is that they underestimated how quickly we could ramp up industrial capacity with our shitshow democracy and glued-together market.

How can we be this blind! This is what Patton died for, he knew the TRUTH. You will not get away this time, we know you were the mastermind all along!

>This is what Patton died for, he knew the TRUTH.
Patton also wanted to nuke and invade Russia right after the Paris Peace Treaty

Good luck, I have already sank your Korean lackeys.

Lol it even says on the Wikipedia page the main invasion began on the 22nd December, and the first major battle began on the 7th January. Thanks for showing us your profile picture though.

Do you even know what establishing a beachhead means, or did you magically forget about D-Day? Because guess what, D-Day wasn't the main invasion of Germany.

>Being this much of a brainlet

Attached: Lettoid.png (230x219, 5K)

Based. I believe it.

That's retarded. Japan only surrendered because the USSR declared war on them.

D-Day was a huge battle with 50,000 German defenders. Totally the same thing lol

The USSR had neither a strategic bomber fleet capable of seriously hurting Japan neither the amphibious capabilities to invade the Japanese mainland.

Never mind, give the brainlet award to this mutt

More specifically the USSR broke the non-aggression treaty. It wasn't being invaded they cared about, it was the hopes that the USSR would turn an unconditional surrender into a conditional one in order to retain the status of the emperor post-war.
