Can some Irish speaker please help me?
In the original Gaelic (i.e. Scottish) if I wanted to say "I saw a boy" I would say
"Chunnaic mi gille."

How would you say that in Irish?

Singing increasingly aggressive rebel songs lads

Chonaic mé buachaill.

Thanks.
Did you know the Irish descend from Scots who exterminated the Iberian Irish (the ones who built newgrange)?

Cén fath na fearr francaigh ag ithe an cappal?

I Don't speak Island Gaelic.

I am a Scythian.

Cén fáth?

Not possible, only 1% of Irish men have pre-Gaelic DNA.

Is mise an haon faoin gcéad.

Sounding good. What's your process for learning new songs? Do you just listen to them, or do you look at the lyrics +chords?

>People speaking Irish in eire thread
>based

Thanks lad. Yeah I just listen to them a few times to try and get a feel for the melody, and then try to find the chords online. Not yet at a level where I can just work out the chords by listening unfortunately

Country's fucked.

You need to have a better outlook

Anyone else heading to the Chapo Trap House show on Sunday?

This one's not quite as aggressive or rousing, and the melody's a bit trickier, but it's a comfy tune

Is there one on

assuming it's in Dublin I would be prepared to meet anyone on here willing to get together and clout around the stragglers in a completely legal way that the gardaí monitoring this thread needn't worry about

I don't know myself if it's on but if anyone of my éire buddies would be going along with me to a great socialist podcast who shares my opinions on the necessity of diversity. No chuds allowed, obviously.

Get up off yer arse you bum

Hullo there Eirelads, I was wondering what do you think (if anything) about the other Celtic nations and people?
Do you feel a kind of brotherhood?

Don't really care about them desu

No, we don't. The other descendents of the Celts have become too Anglo'd just from being parts of br*tain and willing members of the """UK"""

wales is unironically more celtic than you. culturally at least, maybe not genetics.

>Willing members of the UK

Scotland is ruled by the SNP, Plaid Cymru won the last election in Ynys Môn, Gwynedd and Ceredigion (all the actually Welsh speaking counties)

They want out, they're just to cucked to use actual guns and fight for it like the Irish.

True, as r/ireland noted despite what the odious gael nazis say irish isn't important as we're culturally more british and our language is dead yet we're independent. While Wales uses their language natively and some only speak Welsh yet are part of uk, fuck nationalism, ethnocentric throwbacks and forcing dead languages and welcome globalism and neoliberalism.

I hope we form a Celtic Federation, if for no other reason than it would be funny to recreate the old UK borders but without England.

You're one sad cunt

>baityank and yikesanon circlejerking

Might drive by on my motorbike, do a few skids; blowing street dust at them, and shout "How do you like this praxis!" then drive off laughing to myself, hehe.

How do we restore Catholocism to Ireland lads? I'm getting VERY concerned about the growing atheism

Teleport billions of irish from before 1000AD into modern times.

You realize he is right tho?

I don't get it. A lot of posters here wish Ireland was more Gaelic in culture, but as soon as an outlander comes marching and as says the same, these same Irish posters won't even acknowledge the problem.

Do Irish women make good wives?

only if you are black or arabic

It's got fuck all to do with you, mutt. Fuck off.

How is the Irish economy atm, can I still purchase huge properties for chump change?
Also if I come to Ireland to drink with you guys, what are the odds on me becoming a peaky blinder?

Relax. There is literally nothing wrong with caring for other people's cultures. I don't want to live in a world where everybody is the same.

Good man

Didn't they start as Irish gypsies?
On that note, what is gypsie culture like over their today?

Learn a foreign language. Learn Norwegian like me dude.

Incorrect.

>How is the Irish economy atm, can I still purchase huge properties for chump change?
No and you likely never could in your adult lifetime. After the "crash" it went closer to what the land is actually worth but speculation and usury have bounced back so now property has higher prices than the bubble days

just like that scene in lotr
