Yes there is. Modern Greeks are a mongrel race of twenty different peoples, Greeks don’t deny this but get mad. At the same time they larp as hellenes. The Byzantine empire was Greek but not Hellenic. Modern Greeks and medieval Greeks spoke Koine, a Syrian dialect of Ancient Greek. Besides keeping language and culture doesn’t mean being the same as the original people that spoke it. Romans died out as an ethnicity around 300 AD or so.

It pretty much does. As long as there is integrity and continuity, it doesn't really matter what is your original ethnicity. Most of "Romans" were romanized Etruscan, Italic peoples, etc. Most of "Prussians" were Germanized Slavs and Balts. And so on.

Modern Greek language isn’t the same as Ancient Greek language and the cultures are completely different with modern Greek being more Levantine. Here are the people that replaced the Hellenes:

IDK about all of the details but these seem to be all of the Mycenaean samples that have been tested to date. Since elites tend to be better preserved, there is no reason to assume that they wouldn't be included. You weren't thinking about Nordic elites, were you?
