Universities are dominated by leftists, but there are conservatives out there. At the university in my city there is a pro-life club as well as a Conservative Party club but both are technically unofficial as the student union won't recognize them.

I don't think that such confrontation, or dialectics, exists anywhere else in the world except in the US of A.
