It removes some of the consequences of being an irresponsible slag so that more women do so and end up becoming single mothers who often raise children that grow up to be unproductive or criminal members of society

Married couples get literally and nominally lower child benefits than single moms. And it's single moms since courts always give the kids to the mom and slap a huge alimony for the father, unless it's a foreigner and then state pays more extra.

If getting more money as a single mom isn't incentivising it I don't know what is.

I do too, but it's still an important job because it invigorates the community by employing and empowering people who would have difficulties being hired somewhere else (like the elderly and the disabled).

I'm impressed by the amount of people who don't get that older Americans typically just want something to do. Even here in Taiwan you normally see old people volunteer their time doing work.
I guess in other places countries want their people to die as fast as possible so tell them to stay home. LOL
