You know that Russia is still and will continue to be our main concern when it comes to national security? It makes sense for us to use whats domestically available rather than having to rely on foreign affairs. Especially since to this day leaning west would be bending over to east, still have to remain neutral to maintain the relations we have established. That's also a major reason to why we're so anti-NATO. Also just don't want to get jewed. Our military is purely a defence force whose sole purpose is to make it as costly as possible for anyone to progress into Finland, to deter anyone from attempting it.
