Why can't America and China be best friends?
Why can't America and China be best friends?
We are
America has no friends.
Why not? Unlike Europeans, Chinese people actually loved America up until Trump started antagonizing them.
Something something thucydides trap
Americans don't really care what the Chinese think about anything
They're competing for global reach and world dominance, duh
Chinks steal a lot of shit from Murrica. If it wasn't for that they would be better terms.
America has no permanent friends or enemies, only interests.
China has never wanted world dominance. Stop comparing Asia with European/American imperialism.
>Chinks steal a lot of shit from Murrica
Like what?
Then they at least try to get rid off US global dominance.
You first Hans, press the red button and turn the EU into the fourth reich
How do I do that?
>completely dissatisfied with Trump
>"Maybe the Democrats will be better"
>Looking at Bernie's platform
>He's just as anti-China
The US isn't worthy of China.
>Countries
>Having friends
lol no
Because fuck you that's why.
>>Looking at Bernie's platform
>>He's just as anti-China
Why would you think he wouldnt be he said trump taking us out of TPP. Based on the fucked up perks China gets from WHO and its rampant IP theft he should hate them. Only a wall street Democrat would be for them.
patents and IP's...
Countries are allies when they have shared mutual interests. We simply don't have such mutual interests with China.
>Lands of the free, land of capitalism
>Believes in made-up "intellectual property" rights
Lol, in the end your IP laws are only going to harm your own competitiveness by preventing your own entrepreneurs competing against established giants.
Nations don't have "friends". They have interests, more importantly economic interests. That is the sole motivator for developing alliances, trade, and treaties.
>claims to be anti-Wall Street
>gets mad that China allegedly steals IP from Wall Street corporations
I could just as easily say:
Individuals don't have "friends". They have interests, more importantly economic interests. That is the sole motivator for developing alliances, trade, and treaties.
>Only a wall street Democrat would be for them.
Unfortunately also some Wall Street Republicans like one Senator Patrick Toomey.
In the 70s-80s we had an alliance with China based on common opposition to the Soviet Union. With the end of the Cold War, this was inevitably going to end.
Then why did Washington support the fascist Chiang Kai-Shek? Why did they also support the fascists in Chile and Indonesia?
>Facist
He wanted a Republic for China. The only reason why it took so long is because they were under threat from mainlander scum such like yourseld. Fuck China. Fuck Xi. Fuck Hueweii. Fuck Chinks. And fuck you.
Because Americans are capitalist pigs.
You're so historically illiterate that it's laughable.
Sweden barely has a military and you would be pulp if America wasn't defending you.
>Corporations are the same as wall street investors and banks
Also, just to point out how painfully retarded you are for everyone to laugh, you do realize Chiang Kai Shek was from the mainland himself and that he ruled over mainland China until he exiled, right?
That's literally what happened, you stupid Chink. They were under martial law because they were under constanr threat from the mainland. It's only recently that two countries have started trading. Back in the day, you couldn't even take a plane from Taiwan to Chin, you had to go through Hong Kong. I hate all of you Chink shills and I want to kill you all.
I know. We're capitalist pigs too, though not quite as bad.
No they didn't, Chinese love the American lifestyle but hate American people.
>cultural preservation
>family valies
Kek
Kill yourself, Zhang. You're lying through your teeth and you know it.
Again, you literal retard, Chiang Kai Shek ruled over the mainland until he was exiled, his regime was situated on the mainland, he was from the mainland himself and his troops had mainlanders and while he ruled over the mainland he did nothing towards establishing a democracy.
Oh, and the only thing you can kill is your own sperm by having it dry up on a sock, you fat cuck.
It's just Americans who are instigating this situation with China. The coming loss of superpower status is bringing out the worst out of Americans.
You may have heard that there are only two forces that unite men - fear and interest. In truth, we have many interests in common with China, which is why we continue to trade with them despite the quite tame tariff bickering that has received so much coverage. China and the United States have nothing to gain economically from fighting each other, ruining another nation is an enormously expensive endeavor.
But ruling elites here are trained from birth to be as aggressive and ruthless as possible, and the fear of a new power across the Pacific seems to be enough to justify the expenses of hurting them. I don't want to fight China, I just want a roof over my head and food on my table. But conflict with the People's Republic might be a necessary lesson for the States to tone down the aggression a notch and focus on domestic problems more. Just pray whatever mistakes our rulers make don't prove fatal in the coming decades.
Ignore him, he's one of those Taiwanese Nationalists who'll support Chiang Kai-Shek to a heartbeat without realising that Chiang and his party was a fervent Chinese nationalist. I support Chiang for that reason, but most people here are too misinformed about the situation.
>The american can't comprehend having family values and cultural preservation
I don't think he knows a single thing about Chiang Kai Shek. I mean, if you complain about mainlander scum hampering Chiang Kai Shek when the man was a mainlander himself who led a regime in mainland China with mainland troops is literally nonsensical unless you think all the exiled people somehow stop being mainlanders because they had to go into exile which in itself is quite nonsensical.
This could have been avoided if Ron Paul was president. Why didn't you listen?
I know he is from the mainland, Zhang. We use the term "mainlander" differently than the Taiwanese.
>EVERYONE THAT CHINA IS TAIWANESE
Imagine being this butthurt. I'm not Taiwanese at all. Hell, my family isn't even from Asia.
Everyone hates Americans though.
Because nobody has defeated the boss
You can't do honest business with a one party autocracy. They'll always cheat and take advantage of you.
One-party state, two-party state. What's the difference? Both are awful gerontocracies run by men whose only concern is banning all fun things and making sure their mansions are well-maintained.
