I guess it's due to living in a post religious society. We need to worship something, when god is taken out of the picture we start worshipping percieved figures of authority. Just something off the top of my head anyway.

This is a harsh reality but, the argument is not that: this is not the truth therefor healthcare should be free. the argument is monopolies of power like state and its forces (pyshical institutional and social)
should be used in a way which serves the people this may sound basic moralist argumentation but there is a truth to it. Organization of state is not a natural one (it doesnot exist in nature to simplfy it) there for we know that it was created by the people so when manlet jew makes this argument we can clearly see in his eyes that, the state is the all beign, it must exist, it has no aims, it is the natural state of human existence. But all of these are false state as an oragnization exists to serve the people and when the state fails to achive this task it must be destroyed

I mean what's really the harm with adapting a European style healthcare system? First off the government spending would go way down since with current system the American government overspends way too much on health insurance programs such as Medicare and Medicaid even though those two programs only cover a fraction of the U.S population; secondly the economy would increase since people don't have to spend so much money on health care anymore and can spend that money on other things, and thirdly you could cut down on people's taxes since government spending is down.
