Imagine slaving away 60 hours per week, afraid to be fired each day, just so you can own one of these when you’re 60.

It's pretty easy to tell which german flags are the ones that slave for their system and the ones that leach off their system
It's based. Not all of them look like that btw, most houses are individually designed and have a lot of trees around. It's much better than living in a typical Euro commieblock surrounded by arabs
>PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF AMERICA
>working 60 hours per week
do Americans really?
euros move out of the city when they start a family as well, but our suburbs grow naturally and aren't full of the same mass produced house
ob·ses·sion
/əbˈseSHən/
noun
the state of being obsessed with someone or something.
an idea or thought that continually preoccupies or intrudes on a person's mind.
plural noun: obsessions
synonyms:fixation, ruling/consuming passion, passion, mania, idée fixe, compulsion, preoccupation, enthusiasm, infatuation, addiction, fetish, craze, hobby horse;
'They call it the American dream because you have to be asleep to believe it.' - George Carlin
It's the only way of surviving for the lower class in America. Truly a 3rd world country
this
wow... thats deep bro.
That's what I said, neither are ours. The copy-paste type of suburbs are uncommon and are usually only a thing on the South West where it's the only way to build on the desert
>w-we have t-trees too!
exactly, these types of suburbs are uncommon here, I have no clue what OP is on about.
>where it's the only way to build
why are you lying to yourself?
>uncommon
literally everywhere t:google-earth pro
Have you ever taken the time to zoom in on those houses? They look blocky from an aerial view but on the ground they look very comfy.
who would win;
>Someone who lives in this countries suburbs his whole life
or
>some third world neet who has google maps.
hmmmmm
Blocky isn't the issue mutt
But america is a third world country? Those suburbs are proof for it
idk i thought suburbs and copy-paste culture ths the subject, not whether a single house spectated in a vaccuum looks comfy or not. to me a home is more than the bricks and mortar, the surroundings play a role as well. t:never lived in a suburb currently living in an old farmhouse surrounded by forests and fields but your suburbs seem especially suicidality-inducing
>suicidality
This isn't a word
99% Euros live in comieblocks instead of villages you see on Google images.
You're only making yourself look even worse
urban living percentages for each country. USA is 80.7%
We have large houses for cheap, you don't. You can cope all day long but we know the truth. Most Euros don't have a lot of space to work with so the majority of you live cramped in small apartments without the knowledge of spacial freedom.
Fake news, it's split roughly 50/50. Look at the election map for a better idea
>making stuff up
heres a map showing a 50/50 distribution of people, 50% of the people live in yellow areas, 50% in rest. see how much more spread out the euro area is.
Americans are not afraid to be fired, they can literally pick a new job every week
40 hours a week is pretty standard. Houses here are also not all built to look the same, they are individually designed like someone else said. The arab that made this thread is pretty misinformed.
>unique
having a different house number doesn't make it very unique
That's because the US is larger and you have more people. Texas is like 1/3 the size of Western Europe.
ironic
All I want to have is a farm and a family. The boomer life is so tiresome.
Who else /redneck who grew up in a suburb/ here?
you're just proving my point? your people are more condensed into cities and urban areas than euros on average.
just building commie blocks america,
What are you trying to say here? I am telling you the residencies in your photos are an uncommon phenomenon here. If it wasn’t night I could drive around my entire town and show you how 98% of the time every house looks completely different, has a yard, has trees around it, has a small forest within 5 minutes, etc. This is all middle class living too, not wealthy people. I do believe, however, nowadays when new neighborhoods are built in america it has become increasingly common for them to all look soulless like in your photos though. Not fucking jam packed cells but all looking the same.
Did you make those replica boomer internet posts yesterday
Nah, I didn't
Ah they were funny

I’m no pol retard but I peeked yesterday for the first time in years to try and find a link to a news headline I saw and came across that thread.

America is the most free country on earth, i wish i wasn't born europoor :(
Most free if you have money perhaps
freedom ain't free
Why is everyone so obsessed with USA? I think Euros think about USA all day.
Why not?
How you seen how depressing almost all of germany looks
Imagine slaving away 60 hours a week in a small apartment, afraid to be fired each day, just so you end up in a slightly bigger apartment while paying alimoney.
They are twice as wealthy as us per capita
They actually have a military
They actually have freedumbs and rights
>"Most German media outlets love to criticize the U.S. because it makes for such an easy target," says Stephan Bierling, a professor for international politics at the University of Regensburg. "There is a deep-rooted anti-Americanism in Germany that partially comes out of an inferiority complex. In a certain sense some Germans will never 'forgive' the Americans that they defeated the Nazis and brought about a stable world order because it reminds us that we couldn't get rid of the Nazis ourselves and were the main culprit for the division of Europe.
It is from the news article. Is it true?
Onii-sama doesn't pay me attention any more!
I doubt most normal germans have any strong emotions about the us.
There is anti-Americanism but for the exact opposite reason. Germans have been indoctrinated to hate everything even remotely nationalistic or something that might resembles nazis. Now America calls it "patriotism" which is a form of nationalism. Which resembles nationalsocialism for a lot of germans, especially older germans.
If germans make fun of the USA its usually tied with their patriotism. In germany the average white american is the average redneck that still uses a lot of racial slurs, supports slavery and waves dozens of guns around.
This is true. Behind the mask of humble gratification and for our more left leaning friends, acceptance there burns a pure autistic german fire of rabid jealously, restlessness and anger.
>The German Dream
>Imagine slaving away 60 hours per week, afraid to be fired each day, just so you can own a flat in one of these appartment complexes when you’re 60.
We are insect bug people with hive minds and no real opinions thank you. BEEP BOOP RAUCHPAUSE TIME BLEEP BLEEP FOOTBALL.
Some germans have a cultural superiority complex over americans because of all the commercialism and materialism even though it isn't really that better here, but that isn't exclusive to Germany but spread throughout all of Europe I guess. There's also a distrust to the US because of their alleged moral superiority being in contrast with the bitter political reality. That said the overwhelming majority of germans won't have hard feelings towards americans. It's more about the broader picture.
>German journalists in particular don't usually spare an opportunity to comment negatively on U.S. society and politics -- yet, many of them seem to crave signs of approval from the U.S. "Germans see the U.S. almost as their father," says Timo Lochocki, a fellow at the German Marshall Fund, a transatlantic think tank. "It's almost schizophrenic: They want to be admired by the U.S., but do everything to distance themselves from Americans."
It is strange because USA defeated Japan in the World War II but almost Japanese people doesn’t hate America. It is different thinking. But maybe Japanese arent so Nationalist as Germans?
mhhh?
See
It’s sadly developing in this direction as well, at least in Frankfurt.
Depends who you're talking to. I regularly hear old people blame the USA for literally everything.
Who forces us to take in refugees? The USA, its obvious they bombed the whole place after all.
Who causes tensions between russia and the west? USA of course, why are they sending troops to poland?
Who's fault is it that there are so many poor black people in the world? Also USA, they keep those poor people down because they are racist...
stuff like that.
Have you seen the stuff we say about america? We condemn nationalism in general.
The Japanese are far more estranged from america then germany. We are historically far more connected with america then Japan. There is a considerable amount of german immigration during the 19th century and obviously the US played a huge role for Germany during the 20th century, with both conflict and close ties during the cold war so germans are more polarized and emotionally invested. Japan isn't really part of the western world.
Before Trump, it was 50% seeing American whites simply as migrated Europeans and 50% seeing them as war-hungry, mass shooting Walmart sharters
Ever since Trump, 80% see you as different species
But in general, we Euros don’t have strong feelings about you at all. It’s only an Jow Forums thug.
That's why I said that lots of germans don't trust US politics since it seems ambiguous. I doubt that most people would have a problem with americans on a personal level.
Post German dream then.
I always wanted to do this but had trouble getting started, but finally O got fed up enough with this bullshit and dropped out of school, went abroad, and been a nomad for a while. Never settling. Having to trash modt of my belongings every few months to travel light, doing homestays and work exchanges. Honestly sometimes it's great and sometimes it sucks. I feel kinda free but it is impossible to relate to anyone. I've been called cool and crazy.
Commieblocks ain't the norm in most european countries, dumbo
Sounds like a good way to keep conscious
>I feel kinda free but it is impossible to relate to anyone.
Makes sense, not many people can even fathom living that lifestyle.
Who knows, I can certainly imagine that some of them take this very personal. They won't lash out without reason but they certainly will show resentment towards americans.
Everytime I see this thumbnail I keep thinking it's britian.
the average american works more than the average medieval peasant
didn't somebody say that pic was Australia?
Don’t think our developers are that bad yet. Either way, can wait for the incoming collapse
this is absolutely disgusting
I bought my first house at 23, rate
The average medieval peasant had about 60 days of a year for religious holidays and had to stop working when it got dark
I doubt any full time modern wageslave works less than them
60-80 hour weeks are standard full time labor work. Anything less and you're capped at 20 hours so they don't have to give you healthcare or a pension.
what about this?
>when you’re 60
Those houses are stupid cheap
"[W]hen the farmer has got his house, he may not be the richer but the poorer for it, and it be the house that has got him. As I understand it, that was a valid objection urged by Momus against the house which Minerva made, that she "had not made it movable, by which means a bad neighborhood might be avoided"; and it may still be urged, for our houses are such unwieldy property that we are often imprisoned rather than housed in them; and the bad neighborhood to be avoided is our own scurvy selves. I know one or two families, at least, in this town, who, for nearly a generation, have been wishing to sell their houses in the outskirts and move into the village, but have not been able to accomplish it, and only death will set them free."
actual wageslaves are never allowed to work more than 20 hours per week because otherwise they'd have to be classified as employees. How do you think Uber gets away with it? They have no employees, because they don't classify anything but software development and financial/legal duties as work.
>all those needles cul-de-sacs
just fucking put the road throw at the expense of a single house, it makes everything so much better, goddamn
KYS AMERIGOBLO PUPPET
EVERYONE HATES AMERIGOBLOS
but that hurts the home value, people buy into subdivisions because they only have 1-2 entrances and no through streets. This is done to keep non-residents out. It's very successful.
No one actually does this anymore. Young people rent apartments now.
German suburbs
Nice falseflag retard
K pathetic sexpat
Please never post again.
Do you have any middle ground in Europe? If you don't have suburbs its either full urban or full rural, why not get the best of both worlds
OP is an idiot
we do have suburbs just like the USA. our cities are very small so the upper class builds houses in villages/towns around the big cities.
in a regular village you can find very old buildings and new architecture like in the pic right next to each other
Where do Finns live, huts or something?
they have different colour tiles on the roof
>.5% more than Germany
funny how op that this was worth starting a thread for
how many minutes in 0.5% more?
it's as if euros have this vendetta against us or something
this looks nice actually
only in cuck states
All of these seething euros
>Japan 9,2%
lulz
