it's in the BXP's interest to not have a manifesto at this point, no-one who isn't already considering them is going to be turned on to voting for Brexit because of whatever other policies they can put forward, but they do risk alienating current fans by picking sides on other issues
they took a respectable gamble on Peterborough, being a highly Leave area, but lost because people don't see them as reliable
overall, a very close loss is a reasonable take-away in return for keeping up their "single-issue party" status
