had a dream i was on a stone ledge/verandah on the edge of a castle that folded up into a boat and i was wearing armour then me and my brother sailed the boat to some "other place" like it was outside the universe/dimensions where it was like all dark and there was a ladder in the corner with a string wire at the top connecting it to something that you had to use a unicycle to traverse before you could get out and influence the universe in some way (we had a purpose for being there where we were directed to intervene in events) and my brother went because i was too apprehensive (he was really confident like he knew what he had to do)

It starts off with ancient Ireland where we learn about megalithic tombs and whatnot, then it moves on to Christian Ireland in the 5th century, then vikings, then Normans, then Cromwell, penal laws, 1798 rebellion, Daniel O'Connell, Parnell and finally independence and Ireland up until around 1960. That's about the gist of it. They also go over international parts like the Renaissance, French Revolution, the world wars, etc. It's not the greatest curriculum since I felt they rushed through some important parts while spending too much time on stuff that didn't really matter to us. Like I remember spending more time learning about the Medici family in Italy than we did about Hugh O'Neill's rebellion.

All the big chocolate companies are horrendous at most of their products, it just becomes apparent in the "legacy flagship" products which they try to make cheaper but end up showing how their greed is causing the decline of the chocolate parts of their chocolate, as opposed to bars with other ingredients like caramel (which was always just sugar), nuts, biscuit, raisins and so on which are harder to fuck up, and more modern designs which integrate whatever chemicals they use into the design better.
Easter eggs are likely the worst, because it's purely "chocolate", they're mass-marketed for an immense, intensely concentrated demand period, they have to be formed into shape, and be cheap enough to be bought for undiscriminating children or people you don't care about enough to spend 10+ euro on to get a high quality chocolate.
Not that the likes of (((Butlers))) or the majority of so-sold "boutique" brands are anything but the same phenomenon at a higher price range. If you really wanted to get high quality chocolate at reasonable prices you'd be better off doing the equivalent of a Newry drive on a cheap flight to Belgium and just stocking up on what would cost twice as much to get here in inferior form.

It's a nominal amount of money. There is no pressure to raise the pay to national men's team players, because it has little effect on who chooses to play for their country or not.

With the women, there is more pressure to raise their pay, many of them struggle economically already. Even if these raises aren't financially justified, keeping women players playing the game at the top level, delivers non-ecnomic value to those who support the national team. It's in the national interest in other words.

On top of that you have optics. Signally that they are a progressive organisation. That has natural limits. Billion dollar tv deals aren't done on the basis of signally.
