oh yeah, she is a great cook. i get ateast one giant plate of food nd enough for lunch the next da once a week usually. her sons and grandkids come over all the time so when they she makes gigantic pots of yummy rice and pork/pastelillos/flan/ etc. i enjoy food better than i can make and saves me money too

This Eid I went to like 8 houses and ate in all of them. And I went out with some friends for dinner too.
And people in our neighborhood share food daily in Ramadan. We give and take.

I live in an actual house so it would be awkward to leave food outside our gate with a note. Also, the stray cats would just feast on them. But one of our neighbors is a family friend so whenever they cook something for an occasion they ask their maid to bring us some. Pretty nice

Outside of the north people give away food all the time. I had an indian landlord once who kept showering me with inedible spicy chicken. On second thought she might've been trying to kill me.
