Vienna's probably one of the least shitty capitals I've visited. Salzburg was beautiful as well, until some boomer there scolded me for greeting him with a "Guten Morgen" instead of "Grüß Gott"

Burgenland looks like an interesting place

Accents and word usage, like soda vs pop. I think they conjugate some of their prepositions differently too. None of it's major enough to detract from the main point. The accent and pronunciation throws you off, I'd imagine someone from Hamburg would have a frustrating experience in Graz due to such a difference in dialects. It would be like someone from New England talking to a Cajun.

I don't find accents in the US to ever be an issue. Some black people talk with very heavy ebonics but I still understand.

Depends if someone speaks the proper dialect or just Standard German with an Austrian accent. In the cities, many people speak the latter or a watered down version of the dialect.

Its kinda tough to translate it to english, but we'd basically say something like "i had gone" (ich bin gegangen)
