Americans like ill fittings clothes because if an M sized t-shirt and and XXXL sized (or "healthy american" size for nonbigots) cost the same amount of money then buying the XXXL sized one gives you more bang for your back because the XXXL sized t-shirt requires more material to be made than the M sized one.

Everytime Americans buy ill fitting clothes they salute the gods of capitalism by screwing someone's profit margins, and they feel like kings.
