Probably
>Is Chile first world?
No, they're still a shithole.

I want to hire a car and do a massive road trip north to south. What are the chances of me being robbed/raped/murdered?

>robbed

Do they have many of "those people" in Chile?

Why are Argentina and Uruguay such steamy shit holes?

Argentina because it's a bunch of cocky niggers, but Uruguay? no idea
can cows commit crime??

that video was very awesome. i see america through my car on the roads and streets alot, so seeing other places through driving is a neat way to get a good sense of it. japan has some very cool driving videos and are comfy

youtu.be/SlNVINSzIZA
(great song)

anyone has the video of the highway in japan that goes underground and is like a videogame?

this video would be great with some decent background music instead of that shitty noise

>anyone has the video of the highway in japan that goes underground and is like a videogame?
no idea which is it, sorry
youtube.com/watch?v=LAACUYMM2NU

ultra comfy thanks. ill try to find the vid om talking about with the tunnel freeways and stuff. i think the freeway even goes through the middle of a skyscraper

Least shit overall country maybe (but that changes a lot, venezuela was better a decade ago). Best place to live would be in Nuevo leon, Mexico.

Not sure who "those people" are.

>approximately 1,200,000 people, corresponding to 7% of the population residing in the Chilean territory, without counting their descendants borned in Chile. Their main origins, corresponds to: 288,233 Venezuelans, 223,923 Peruvians, 179,338 Haitians, 146,582 Colombians, 107,346 Bolivians, 74,713 Argentines, 36,994 Ecuadorians, 18,185 Brazilians, 17,959 Dominicans, 15,837 Cubans and 8,975 Mexicans

In between 600,000 and 2 million natives, depending on how they are defined.

Even if you see yourself as a hypenated American, and can excuse yourself for crime commited by other Americans; crime is still a national issue. I can't go around saying Colombian crimes don't reflect on Chile's safety if I'm not Colombian. Colombians would still be there, and so would the problem.

>Not sure who "those people" are.
Negroes.

burgers btfo

So is it good in Santiago and a bit shit elsewhere? Any places to definitely avoid? Any other good places outside Santiago? Really want to see the fjordland in the south and the Atacama.

but chileans commit 96% of crime in Chile. The remaining 4%spread among all the non-chilean nationalities seems negligible to me, especially considering that Peruvians and Venezuelans commit many more crimes on average

That's from antofagasta, a city where most colombians in Chile live

soychile.cl/Antofagasta/Sociedad/2013/10/19/207511/Un-96-de-los-delitos-relacionados-con-drogas-en-Antofagasta-son-realizados-por-chilenos.aspx

i agree with you. the only reason i say the second world is the worst because you get social pressures of the first world, with some of the crime and poverty of the third world

usa is barely first world, probably going to be second world if thirdies keep flooding in

Cringe

In the city many Chileans will give you advice. A whole list of places you shouldn't go, and to never travel alone. They're exaggerating. You can ignore all of that advice and never have a problem. Walk with confidence and as if you know where you're going, look at the people in the face, be aware of people close to you, and you'll be fine in the thickest of crowds because pickpockets need someone who can't ID; or won't notice them.

Steer clear of protests if cops have arrived en masse, it seems hectic, or it's blocking traffic. Cops are quick with the teargas when they want to disperse protests. If there are just a few cops walking with the protesters or it's indoors, that's just an escort for a legal protest.

If an earthquake happens just do as the Chileans do: pretend it's not happening. Unless you're at the beach though, get to high ground then.

Other than that just typical thirdie advice: Don't bring your nice shoes, keep your eyes on the pavement because it's uneven, and shop around if you're concerned about the price of something.

Los rios y los lagos should be green, fuck northrons

>Maule
Boring cities and even more boring farmland. I recommend though to stop here to eat typica chilean food like Pastel de Choclo while travelling to the south.
>Araucania
Temuco is ok if you live there, but being too much like an inferior version of Santiago, makes it a boring visit. The rest of the region is extremely poor.
>Los Rios
Los Lagos is better

News of 2012 negrito colombiano?

I update you.

"In 2016, foreigners detained in the city were led by Colombians (57%), Peruvians (17%) and Bolivians (13%) .This has accentuated the discrimination that groups of foreigners admit suffering daily in the city, being the Colombians - the most numerous colony in Antofagasta - the most exposed to it.
(year 2016)

Government will expel 31 Colombian citizens from the country this Wednesday (2018)

The Chilean government expels 21 Colombians who committed crimes (January 2019)

Chile expelled 51 Colombians with criminal records Colombians are the second largest group of migrants in Chile behind Peruvians (August 2018)

they are solidly the best country in south america
but no, they are still a shithole

latercera.com/nacional/noticia/6-los-reos-chile-corresponde-extranjeros/285996/

It's entire economy is based on copper.
Think about that for a moment

Butthirt indio. I'm whiter than you'll ever be and those people don't have anything to do with me. People here don't even consider them Colombians hence why they have been contained in a specific region far from civilization for more than 300 years. I can't care less if they leave this place, it's actually good for us

Of course, it is difficult for Colombians to be in jail IF THEY ARE EXPULSED FROM CHILE

"Why were 51 Colombians EXPELLED from Chilean territory?

EXPELLED...EXPELLED hahaha

Well, yeah, people who commit crimes in foreign countries are almost always deported, what's your point?

Le germanic architecture.

Are you a Rolo?

>is it the best country in South America?
Yes, by far.

>Is Chile first world?
Not yet. They need a far-right government.

No, santandereano hpta

>Los santandereanos se creen blancos
OHNONONONONONONONONONONO

>is it the best country in South America
It is the best country in all of Latin America. When your competition is countries full of trannies, drug dealers, and 60 IQ shitskins, it does not take much to be better.

Where are you from?

Medellin.

Also Chile is better because they have a huge amount of coastal land and a bunch of rare minerals like saltpeter and copper. Chileans are still the same sudaca subhumans as Argentinians and Brazilians.

And no, I don't think Medellin nor Paisas are "white", that's a pretty cringy thing to do.

Ya paren el webeo, chileno y colombiano...
>the best country?
I don't think so
>first world?
No

Yeah you are braindead I already noticed

>Yeah you are braindead I already noticed

Attached: uhh ackshually.png (526x397, 149K)

Do Chileans really believe that all Colombians are black? I can spend days without seeing a black person, don't know where this meme came from

Mining in Chile is 15% of the GDP in 2019. It was 30% in 2007.

>It is the best country in all of Latin America
well... there's Panama and USA
but those are in NORTH America so yeah the best in the South is Chile

atlas.media.mit.edu/en/profile/country/chl/

To be fair, it's almost all of Chile's exports.

Same way oil and coal are most of Colombia's exports but are not the dominant component of our GDP.
Because almost all of the Colombian immigrants in Chile are from the Pacific coast because the place is incredibly shitty thanks to the non existence of the government in there.

Colombia's great now, the cartels have had a ceasefire that's held up a couple of years, farc is pacified and nobody else has come close to the amount of power they had, and the government cracks down hard on people who kidnap or kill gringos. the tourism industry isnt built up yet so it's easy to integrate with the wealthier locals, and people are friendly. if I could get an international salary and live in Medellin I would.

It probably has to do with the fact that Chile Is a homogenous could try from North to South so they imagine that all countries in the continent are just like that. They also believe that Colombia is tropical everywhere when the most densely populated region has about the same annual average temperature as Santiago

I know that all of Colombia isn't black give us more credit, Valderrama isn't black for example,
I know that Colombia is 33% Black, 33% Mulato, 33% Mestizo and 1% White.

Attached: Colombia 1994.jpg (800x555, 112K)

Country*

Americans are the second largest group of visitors to Colombia after Venezuelans. There were less than 200 kidnappings last year, that's less than America and zero of those were americans. Kidnapping of Americans besides those soldiers a decade ago has never been a thing, you are not a target

>the cartels have had a ceasefire that's held up a couple of years
But the government has done little to solve the issue itself, when it breaks down again it'll be an issue, perhaps not as big as it was in the 90s, but an issue nonetheless.
>farc is pacified and nobody else has come close to the amount of power they had
The peace accords are breaking down because the government is being very halfhearted in their implementation and the negotiations with the ELN (another Communist guerrilla) completely broke down, desertion in the FARC demobilization camps is around 25% now and rising.

The quality of education is also mediocre and you'll have a very hard time finding a job that pays an international salary because no multinational company in its right mind would like to setup offices here.

You need to actually travel more if you believe this bullshit. Outside of the Pacific coast Colombia is less than 2% black/mulatto. And on the Caribbean blacks are like 10% at most. Most people there are Arab mestizo mutts

This colombian caribbean shit, "third world" must continue to be expelled from our country.

Attached: Sin títulotr.png (917x2178, 3.81M)

Those people are not Caribbean. They are from the Pacific coast. The amount of Caribbean Colombians in Chile is virtually zero. Holy shit are you bad at geography, you dense fuck

basado

Good post

Pic related is where afrocolombians live. I'd be mad as well if all the immigrants my country got where from that specific area too, but Chile is so overrated that these pacific coast knee grows have actually returned to Colombia in droves since they migrated there circa 2010-2015. They should stay there imo

Attached: images.jpg (193x261, 8K)

Being a truck driver sure is an awesome job here

I'm saying less kidnappings compared to the reputation of the 80s and 90s, I know Americans are completely safe but people here still believe there are kidnappers in Colombia.

>govt don't little to solve the issue
I wouldn't expect aby government to solve an issue that isn't an obviously immediate threat to the nation and brings in tourists and cash, which coke does. correct me if I'm wrong, but it also seems that the government is a lot more stable than when the big cartels took power, and is capable of keeping anybody who becomes too violent down, so I don't see the same kind of gang warfare to be a possibility
>peace breaking down
that is an issue, but like I said, the climate seems different to where the government is a lot more powerful and there isn't as much far left sentiment, or far right paramilitary activity to drive people to the far left.
>no multinational companies
that's the issue for me, but a friend works for Huawei in Bogota, which is also a great city, and someone I met travelling works on offshore oil rigs, he gets a little over $150k a year for working half the year on the right with all expenses paid, I don't want to work oil but working a job like that, or as a fisherman in the us where there's a specific fish season, you could make a good amount of money for working your ass of for part of the year, and living off of it for the other half.
