Scotus was used until around 400AD to refer to Irish pirates which it was then used to refer to all Gaels, a later example of this is John Scotus Eriugena. If Scotus only referred to Irish then they wouldn't have Eriugena (of Ireland) in his name.

Secondly there is literally no evidence for an Irish invasion into Scotland but the genetic evidence shows the Irish descend from Scots and not the other way round. If apparently Dal riata was Irish and this is where the language comes from could you please explain why the Picts would adopt the language of the people they just exterminated.

Changing your name doesn't mean you went extinct. The Irish Annals refered to Dal Riata as a foreign country (even if it was Irish this doesn't change my argument).

I think this guy is laughably wrong in tying the ethnogenesis of the Gaels to Roman times.
"Prehistoric DNA" basically means the non-"Indo European" cultures who were wiped out by said invaders. This was a continent-wide (and beyond) event, and it itself took place in prehistoric times (although "history" as in writing had started in the "fertile crescent" by that point). It probably took place in the bronze age or maybe very early Iron Age here.
There is a speculative argument to be had over whether the Gaels "came via" what is now Scotland/Britain rather than from the continent directly, but it's irrelevant to the weird pseudohistory you scum invented to justify your schizophrenia, because the fact remains that the ethnogenesis of Gaels was established in Ireland, and only spread to "Pictland" after the Irish invaded, in historic times.
