I don't know very well Germany to tell. I don't know what are the differences betwenn the North, the South, the West and the East. I just know that the Rhineland is very industrial, overcrowded and depressive.

It seems like Southern Germany (Baden Wurtemmburg and Bavaria) is closer to the stereotype of what Germany is like. Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Brandemburg are a little more commie looking apparently, and the other states I don't know too much about. Except that Berlin and Hamburg are cool city states and have wild party scenes.
I'm curious to know more about the states I haven't mentioned, as well as the ones I have.

I liked Berlin, Potsdam and Lübeck. Hamburg, Bremen and Cologne were also nice. Never visited the south, but I'm interested.

Prague has both an amazing nightlife AND beautiful architecture. Berlin is an exciting but really ugly city.
