Why do certain countries dub everything?

We go to the point where every actor has their own assigned voice actor which is really weird when they can’t get this voice actor for their dub or he died and get replaced by somebody else.

if you are staring at the text of the subs you can't see the actor's faces and gestures while they speak.
sure there are some bad dubs sometimes, but its generally not that way, and in some cases the dub is even better than the original: Fast & furious acting and voice lines are shit on the original for example
its the same here. we have our own Johnny Depp voice actor, our own Samuel L Jackson voice actor, just to name a few, and people instantly think of the actor when they hear the VA voice.

In Spain the death of the voice actor who originally dubbed Homer Simpson happened around the time the show began its decline in quality. The guy who replaced him is not bad, but his work has been tied to the not so good Simpsons episodes.

Yes we had probably even the best translation you could ever imagine. The voice actor who voiced Mr. Krabs from Spongebob gave also his voice to Benjamin the Elephant (Blümchen in german which means flowers) and the joke in this scene is even better than in the original youtu.be/BJg_NCTNv4Y
Something similar happened here, our marge was replaced by a famous German comedian who tried to be more like the original and she kinda broke the character with her voice

French,spanish and german dubs can be used in other countries aswell so it would be smart to invest in voice actors with those languages

Once upon a time, when the film industries of Spain and Italy were alive and well, almost every film those countries produced had their sound entirely created in post-production, meaning that they were dubbed no matter which language you watched them in. Intredasting trivia.

Here is not even questionable. If you put the same movie in the cinema, in two rooms, one is dubbed the other has subtitles, the first one would have no one attending. I want to here the voice of the actors, the actual full perfomance not someone speaking over someone moving his lips

Used to be if you were watching a film from Italy, Spain, Hong Kong, and a lot of other places, you would almost never hear an actor's actual voice, even if you saw the "original' language track. Dubbing used to be really common in filmmaking in a lot of different places, nowadays not so much.
