The only real health 'benefit' one can easily point to is the increased ease of cleaning due to not having to pull the foreskin back, other than that it's mostly pointless but not really dangerous or anything as far as I know. People (Jow Forums and their ilk especially) have a tendency to externalize their failures so they don't have to actually take responsibility for anything: "The reason I'm not getting laid is because I'm not really trying/am an asshole/don't have any respect for other people, it's because I'm ugly/short/have a small dick/have a cut dick".

And when people feel cheated, they're going to make it known to those people who they're convinced are holding them down.

That's one of the reasons doctors promoted it, but there's other nonsense fiction that they based their recommendations on as well. And by recommendations, I mean they just forced it on parents whether they wanted it or not until the late 80s.

The alternative is forever hating your own body for something beyond your control. This is one of the worst things about circumcision: the best way to make a person adamantly advocate for genital mutilation is to mutilate their genitals at birth. Few people are willing to accept their dick is irreversibly damaged, most will tell themselves it's not a problem and go on to mutilate their own children, thus perpetuating the vicious cycle.

You're right, there isn't really a good analogue I guess. What I'm trying to say is that the vast majority of this ire is coming from a psycho-social place rather than a physical one. It's the same fucking thing with every other teenager claiming to be in the throes of horrifying depression and anxiety, or with fat people having 'glandular problems'. The very idea that ourselves and our environment are well within an individual's control seems to be antithetical to modern attitudes or something.

You're anxious? Good, anxiety and fear gets people off their asses. You feel inadequate? Then improve yourself. Sometimes negative emotions are the impetus we need to do the things we need to do. But more and more often it seems like the goal of life is to completely eliminate any kind of negative stimulus in favor of some Huxley-esque fog.

You didn't say anything about it, no. But you and I both know it is not at all uncommon to see people complain about their being circumcised as the reason for their lack of intimacy. Human sexuality is a far more complex topic than people make it out to be and reducing it to 'penis go in vagana yay' betrays a lack of real emotional or psychological development that really only furthers the real problem present.

I thought I had heard it all from pro-circumcision nuts but here I am reading a post claiming that if men dare have a problem with being circumcised it must be because of a larger societal problem at hand of obsession with sexual validation. Profoundly retarded post, my friend.
