Do you drive a car?
How important is having a car in your daily life in your country?

If you dont have one your fucked

i failed my driving exam
pretty important, everything is far away from my house :(

Attached: 1559739347097.jpg (700x600, 311K)

no, I easily could afford one, but I consider it a waste of money

This, can’t exist in America without one unless you live in Jew York

what if you live in a big city?

Depends on the city. If the city has a good train/subway system or other transportation your fine but only a few major citys have good public transportation.

good luck next time
well your test costs around $200. here in germany you'll have to shell out 1500€

It's ok if you live in a downtown area of disignated big cities (Tokyo,Osaka,Nagoya,Yokohama...)
Other than those areas, life becomes severe.
Same as other country

Uterlly fucked, there is no way I could live as I want without one.

I drive a motorcycle, it gets me to where im going faster than any other mode of transportation here in the Philippines.

Nissan X trail 2015
Yes, public transport outside major cities are piss poor and months long drought season where it's 90% humidity + 40 degrees followed by strong storms and rain brought by monsoon winds makes cars necessary. Outside a car if the heat doesn't kill you then flying coconut will.

Yeah, I've got a shit car that I rarely drive. It just takes up space and swallows money for insurance and whatnot.

Yes
I need it for work but will get rid of it once I go back to school in September

Negative. And thanks to how cheap Uber carpool is I don't see the need in having one.

If you don't have a working car you're maybe a week at best from being homeless

Yes. I am driving right now, I am parked and waiting

Having a car is a requirement in my job. I need to drive around to customers and work onsite. It would not work if I took the bus, it would take forever to get where I was going.

Yes, I do drive a car.
I find it very important because it helps me traverse around independently without having to depend on ride hailing services.

I paid off my license and I'm fine. Overrated
I'm both postong on Jow Forums and drishxdedffdc

post pics of your car

I don't have a car, but I can drive a car.
Really depends on where you live. In the cities there are toll roads everywhere.

DU KOKER KLODEN

I just walk everywhere.

are you in ex sales?

can we all agree that in developped countries, you don't need a car in daily life

Public transport here is pretty fucking terrible compared to our living standards. The people who plan our cities, roads and public transport are fucking morons.

Yes
Super important, pretty much everyone I know has one

I have a Yaris I bought for 1k
So far €400 in repairs & maintenance over 2 years

Attached: cars-toyota-yaris-p1-1999-50536.jpg (1791x1230, 479K)

Over here only teenager students that just moved to some nearby city for their studies make those claims. Everyone that ever had to participate in adult activities knows better

What steering?

You are in Europe. What about your taxes on the old cars?

If you dont have a car here you get looked at like you're a child

Normal side, it was made in Japan though
€70 per 3 months. Taxes are determined by weight and fuel type. It's about the cheapest you can get which isn't electric.

in France we pay once when we purchase, it's about 120-150€ for a Yaris of 10yrs

I have a bike so don't really need a car. If I couldn't borrow one from my relatives or get a lift from them occasionally, I would need one. It's possible to get anywhere by bus and train, but it's annoying to navigate and arrive on time if you're going to the middle of nowhere.

I've never needed one as biking or public transport has always been faster and cheaper, I recently got a dog though so considering a car.

Yesterday I returned home from vacation and had to stand inside a train for 2 hours in front of the toilets.
I like trains but it's ridiculous how overcrowded they can be so late into the evening. On top of that the price of a ticket was about as much as the cost of fuel.

I have this bad boi, in that beautiful color. The absolute bare bones version of it, with no electric windows or AC, and I love it. Reliability has been spotless since 2014 when I bought it.

Sadly, it's currently locked away in a heated garage in a remote location, because I certainly don't need it while I'm working in the giant shithole that is Oslo and its immediate surroundings. I'm hoping to work somewhere else soon.

No, driving was to much stress for me at that time. I live in the Capital, so it's ok.

Berlin is the ultimate car city. Most roads are 3 lanes wide and at night you have Mercedes and Porsches racing at stoplights

2002 Toyota Mark II
Recently having a car became really necessary cuz public transport is getting worse and worse in my place

Attached: images.jpg (265x190, 10K)

Critical. That McDonald's ain't going to fetch itself

Attached: neet.jpg (208x242, 7K)

i could not eat without a car

The last one isn't a good thing, because innocent bystanders are being hurt.
Also its a fucking nightmare to drive inside the Autobahnring. Especially the inner city.

I can imagine it is very stressful, though I'd rather be a car owner in Berlin than in most other European capitals

Well, I can only compare it to London and I can agree with you on that.

>Do you drive a car?
Yes.
>How important is having a car in your daily life in your country?
Not at all, though you are seen as a lesser being if you don't own one.

based jdm

I don't drive a car anymore. I bought an used A4 1.9 TDI -04 when I was in high school and used it for a couple years. Then moved closer to the city, sold it and bought a CX/gravel bike which I'm still using all around the year. My commute is only 10km so it's not that bad even during winter.
I just didn't find enough use for a car to warrant paying insurance and high car tax every year. Doing groceries on a bike fucking sucks though, and good luck trying to move anything bigger than your backpack with your bike. I'd probably still have a car if I couldn't loan my parents car every now and then.

Only on the weekends.
I live in a city during the week, having a car there isn't that useful.
Over the weekend I'm in a small town, not having a car when there makes you a slave to a bus timetable.

I do yes, every day.
I live about 1 hour and 15 minutes from my job so can't live without a car.
Only drive American, only drive V8.
Gas mileage isn't that great but I don't care.

Attached: Kärran.jpg (1040x1384, 1.04M)

Why have a car its just money for gas, taxes, repairs...

I don't have a choice. Also, cars is my biggest hobby.

They give certain amounts of comfort and can save you money too/earn you more. In most countries it's very feasible to buy some cheap but timeproven car and it will always be better than having no car.

But of course it's 2019 and people want a car that matches their social status/want a fast one/a big one.

have a license, no car yet though
prolly will get a used car when i get my 1st paycheck

Not very practical as I'm living in a huge city, but if i live in a less populated or outside a city then it's a must.

Are you one of those larping rednecks I've herd about?

- AC
- 110.000km driven
- passed inspections last year
opinion?

marktplaats.nl/a/auto-s/suzuki/m1422470522-suzuki-swift-1-3-1999-rood.html?c=df2f21f683612b45d62c413c0ca719df&previousPage=lr

Born and raised on a cattle/dairy farm, grew up working on tractors and old American cars.
If you are talking about our so called "Raggare" then I yes. Larping? Nope.

>larping rednecks

These guys?
Fucking bonde kek

Attached: raggare.jpg (720x9198, 2.87M)

I participated in a 'carbagerun' last year. You have to buy a car for €500 maximum and then pimp it out. With those cars you start to drive through Europe in a convoi with parties at the camping site every evening.

Attached: carbagerun.jpg (2000x1333, 365K)

I miss this nigga like you wouldn't believe

Attached: 7316182[1].jpg (1024x768, 132K)

Yup those guys. Fucking weird anyone would want to pretend to be meth addicts.

American redneck culture is very big among European larpers.
They also have these festivals in Germany about hotrods, choppers, bbq, beer, country music, etc

Attached: 27591251682_08eecd565c_b[1].jpg (1024x683, 286K)

Has nothing to do with drugs here though. So called Raggare have been around in Scandinavia since the late 50's and it's the largest sub-culture we have.

Yes I do. Just a 2013 Honda City. Very important to go anywhere and anytime. If the job requires me to be at the next city, the car is there for you. Public transportation are only useful within the city, not for outstations. Shoppings and groceries also required the car for carrying the baggages, usually the best shopping deals are out of the town. I have a Honda Y5 scooter too for work and just aimlessly going around the beach and shitpost there.

>dat pic
wtf

I do though it's not very important, would probably get along just fine without one.

No I don't. You can live without one its your choice

>Honda City
why do you people like your sedans so much?
I don't understand. Over here you only drive large sedans, but smaller cars are always hatchbacks. It's a very easy way to tell whether you're looking at a European street or anywhere else.

we have a bunch of boomer germans who love the USA. they wear cowboy hats and decorate their houses with huge USA flags.
also BBQ every second day in summer.

the funny part is that they've never visited the USA. they buy stuff like pic related

Attached: lidl-prospekt9[1].jpg (960x1343, 241K)

>Not at all, though you are seen as a lesser being if you don't own one.

lol wut

Yes.
Important for me, usually i go work work by train.
But when i have to go do groceris, family gathering or visit my mother in another city, i don't like being dependant on other people.

Plus Korean cars devalue a fucking lot, so i bought a Veracruz for cheap. Resell will be shite tho.

Attached: file.png (1280x720, 1.56M)

I'm not allowed to get a driver's license for medical reasons.

Attached: sad helper.jpg (1024x962, 67K)

Same, I got epilepsy

It's really shit when you don't have a car.
One bus ride from city to city and back costs more than a full tank of gas, and most of the smaller places don't have any public transportation besides taxis.
And taxis are fucking expensive.

I'm lucky, I don't drive but I never leave my city so I don't have to. I ride my bike everywhere.

he's a schyzo

Driving is hard. How the fuck do so many people have no problem doing this?

just turn your brain off

you just get used to it
the more practice the more skills

delet

Attached: kouluammuskeluapustaja.png (1153x987, 99K)

>being a carlet
lmao
how many girls have laughed at you today?

During summer I mostly use bicycle.
In winter I do need car occasionally, although I've been thinking to start downshifting and be neet all winter.

how much does petrol cost in finland?

You're just a massive soyboy

Yes.
It’s pretty important if you don’t live in a major city. I do know a few people who don’t have cars. But for me it’s definitely needed otherwise I wouldn’t be able to get to work.

I-It's the less expensive ones.. can't afford to pay the larger ones.

That's alright fren
I am curious why you choose for a small sedan instead of a small hatchback. Because you cannot even buy small sedan here

I see it a lot in Asia

I do because I would have zero way of traveling if I didnt have one

Wish we had public commie transportation fellas

irritating

Am I the only subaru fag on Jow Forums?
