There are larger differences between west and former GDR.
However I'm an autistic pan-german nationalist NEET and have very limited contact with society. I can detect degeneracy all across Germany and the different levels at this point in time is unimportant, as profound changes have to be implemented everywhere if we were to resurrect the spirit of our race.

The west has been living in a progressively kiked and consumerist society since the end of the war, whereas the east was only integreated in the 90s with the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Western Germany is the typical politically correct liberal mess. It's quite hard to compare to other countries. Fewer niggers than France, minorities are more scattered than in Sweden and the liberals are not quite as aggressive as in the US.
The East is a light version of eastern Europe in general.

Pretty cool and not at all fitting with the asocial sperg stereotype. Very few Germans outside of the biggest cities in the North actually do. I found Scandis fit that stereotype much more IRL. I still talk to two of them. One of them works at an animal shelter and trains farm dogs for a living that are exported abroad and the other one does design for a company that makes makeup/fashion/hair shit for the punk/rock crowd and also works with an animal care place on weekends. Brown people weren't rare there. There are just as many in most German cities as there are in most towns in the Midwestern US. There were pretty much no blacks though.

One of my friends migrated here with his parents from Niedersachsen when he was a baby but his grandparents moved to Chemnitz in the early 2000s because it's one of the cheapest places in Germany to buy property and his family is into real estate. He visits them pretty regularly and his family likes me so they let me stay in their backhouse for free when I would come with him periodically. I've actually never been to Dresden. They all say it's pretty underwhelming. We usually use their house as a base then take the train to wherever we want to go any stay there for a few days at a time. Within Germany so far I've been to Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, and a few other places in the south and on the coast near Denmark. His grandfather died last year and his grandma is pretty old and is now looking at moving here to live with his parents soon so we're probably not going to be able to do it again unfortunately.

There was a significant amount of Turkish people there and some darker Balkan people. I consider that brown. Midwest is very much White outside of a few major cities. Only brown people you see are some Mexicans and a few Asian restaurateurs. That's the point I was making. Not numerous but also not a rarity.

Honestly not too much. It's a pretty fucking boring city. Beautiful nature though. We mostly did outdoorsy stuff, got drunk as shit in the woods and saw a few cool shows but that was it. We mostly went to other cities for fun stuff. They have a pretty cool history museum if you're into that kind of stuff though.

Yeah, I got a lot of weird stares but that was pretty much it. That's part of why we didn't really stick around in Chemnitz very much there's also just not very much to do there. Pretty much everyone told me the same thing that i'd be fine as long as people knew I wasn't muslim but it's pretty hard to figure that out just by looks. I have a leather jacket with a California flag on the back and an American flag on the shoulder so I think that confused a lot of people. Friend that used to be a neonazi said very bluntly that in the early 2000s her ex-friends would unironically have attacked me if they saw me alone at night and thought I was a muzzie. Michigan, Illinois and Minnesota have some in the major cities but that's pretty much it. I'd say they're less than 1% of the population there. West Coast has a lot of them working in tech and medicine. Half of my coworkers here in California are pajeets and the other half are Mexicans.

The faith in the state and the government reaches almost north Korean levels in west Germany. Fundamental criticism of the government is barely a thing even though the past 20 years have been a disaster. If so, only fringe or minor issues are criticised, to keep the democratic facade. German tv is also on north korean level and controlled by the state even if everybody claims it isnt so.

Northern half of Germany is probably the worst place in the world. People are extremely boring, no culture, disgusting food only, all cities are ugly, full of graphiti and bums, people in general dress like bums, etc. There is literally nothing positive about these regions. Very depressing place. 100 years ago they at least had the prussian spirit, but today they got nothing.

People in the east are more receptive to commands in the job and usually will not try to put own input into the workload aside from what the boss says.
Also more silent then in the west.

I like to make a simplistic, largely inaccurate division of Germany into 3 parts. East: poor, whitest, atheist. Northwest: moderately rich/white, Protestant. South: brown, richest, Catholic.

Got bombed to shit tho, so excpft for the ocassional remain there isnt much of a historic citycenter to see as in prague or italy.
Museums are mediocre.
Parties are cool, lots of techno, bootshaus, odonien and other clubs come to mind.
The bigfuck church in the middle and some smoller churches around if youre into churches.
Saint Ursula got a skullchamber with the walls being covered in martyrbones.
There are some prussian ruins strewn throughout the city, they are converted into public parks and some got some social life going on.
(Like theres one place where youre allowed to build whatever the fuck you want from wood if you dont cry about others possibly vandalizing it)
There is a very local cuisine.
