Kelvin is the superior system. 10 degrees Celsius is the same as 50 degrees Fahrenheit but a change of 10 degrees Celsius is the same a change of 18 degrees Fahrenheit. This retardation is because the two systems have different arbitrary zero points. If you want units to measure heat then the zero in your units should represent zero heat.
