France is one of the best countries.

If you work 40h you get almost 2k $ of minimum wage, while at the same time you get free healthcare and retirement pension.

In a department like Pyrenees Atlantiques life is cheap and you have high mountains for skiing and great beaches less than 1 hour away one from the other.

Food and utilities are cheap, except gas (petrol, fuel). Very cheap internet, cellphone, electricity bills, etc. compared to others.
Infrastructure is great. Public transport is great.

Scenery is beautiful and most people live in houses.

There are some select places in the world where you can make more money, but there housing is very expensive (think about Silicon Valley or Australia) or in the middle of nowhere (Idaho or similar).

I'm moving to France, either Pyrenees Atlantiques, Provence or Savoy.

Spain sucks in comparison.
