How many of you are doing this? I have just moved to another city and have a "penthouse" apartment in the best neighborhood which i dont live in now. It is very central and close to some major tourist attractions, i even have a parking space. However, i am renting it from a landlord. Is it even worth trying to AirBnb this? I pay 1400$ for the apartment a month, and have some buddies which can decorate it to become some kind of hotelroom suite. Any experiences?
Making money with AirBnB
Be careful with the guests you let in
Yeah rent that shit out and get a GF that you can stay with while the room is rented.
I did this two years ago.
My apartment lease was $1400ish, made about that same amount each month on peak months by renting out just one room/one bath. I miss it desu. Was cool meeting/chilling with people and met a lot of cool people. I’m assuming you’ll rent your whole unit, so you’ll probably make even more easily.
Nah, lemme in there OP, I ain’t gonna steal or break nuthin
This is my major concern, my sister actually live in the same complex and will do the work as key handler and cleaner. I was thinking mostly on segmenting towards businessmen and not allow parties of any kind, yeah ive heard about "airbnb orgies".. I find the screening process a little bad and i have to think of the neighbors.
I was planning to have a 60 inch screen there, maybe a bottle of wine and shit. In eventually padlock the TV. There is also this 1 million dollar insurance guarantee airbnb offer, but im not sure if that cover theft.
If your Landlord finds out, consider yourself evicted.
Also, your neighbors are going to know whats up. They WILL snitch on you because no one wants to live next to a hostel.
Not really. They usually warn first.
Airbnb Insurance is famously fickle.
Jesus fucking Christ you let random people into your home because of a app?! What is wrong with the modern world.
