What's the second region in French and German?

I look just like my dad, so that's out of the question..

Grand Est.

That's my region. Well your results tell you have two French grandparents, most likely on the same side

>Frenchmen moving to Portugal
Isn't it usually the other way around?

Do you understand that it tests for typical genetic markers of that region and not your actual ethnicity.

How the fuck is this possible?

Who knows. What's your haplomeme ?

my results dont really match my family tree either, one of my great grandpas is from poland and so are his parents so I would think i'd be about 12.5% polish, but it only says 0.7% eastern europe. I guess they may have just moved to poland though as i dont know much about them past 1890s. also expected closer to 50% british and irish as my dad has 85% and my mom has a little. I guess that might be in the broadly nw euro shit. my dad's tree matches his dna test exactly so i guess mine might as well

I'm guessing Euros who could "blend" moved a lot.

Does this shit (23andme) actually work? I thought it was a scam

Answer me this my tuga friend. My father is portuguese, born in Vila Real, his whole family is Portuguese as far as I can tell (he have records from even the mid-1800s of his family) yet he has a germanic surname (Lohrenz), he doesn't know anyone on his family that was not-Portuguese, I know that in the Azores people have non-Portuguese surnames such as Bittencourt or Brum, but I don't think he have any connection with those people either.

How common are mutts from other parts of Europe in your country? Did you know any of your portuguese acquaintances with foreign surnames?

Are the yellows supposed to be from Macao?

Azores was populated by non-Portuguese immigrants way back because mainland Portugal couldn't get enough Portuguese settlers on it's own to populate those low-prospect places. There's a touch of french in the way they pronounce the words. Most were still Portuguese, many from Alentejo.

If we take Eça de Queiroz's work to be representative of the period, it would seem there were already some wealthy foreigners in the broader area of Lisbon and Sintra.
