Now that I think about it, it is kind of unsanitary and rude

Surprised subsaharian africa can afford shoes.

Thats odd, I have literally never worn shoes in my home or parents home.

I never wear shoes at home

I thought only asians did took their shoes off

unironically don't get why people do this
it's also in every damn travel guide to japan - "TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF WHEN YOU GO INSIDE", like it wasn't common sense

Same. Some people are fine with it but I generally think it's common courtesy to take them off in someone's house when you don't know their policy on it especially if you are gonna walk on carpet.

My aunt from el salvador always gets mad when i dont take off my shoes in her house, i hate that stupid cunt

I always urge people who get in my house to keep their shoes on, I would't want disgusting sweaty feet to step on my floor

Ah yes another highly scientific study.

What the heck, i thought that was a japanese think only that i learn from anime, never thought canadians and eastern europeans do it too.

Who the fuck took their shoes off when entering home what the fuck.

Bueno, una cosa es llegar a tu casa y quitarte los zapatos en tu cuarto para ponerte sandalias, pero otra cosa es visitar la casa de tu amigo y quitarte los zapatos en la entrada.

Based leafland

Why would you even keep them on? Isn't it more comfortable not wearing them?

CHI

Barn. American houses are called barns

I always take my shoes off in a home
My mom has a rule that you have to take your shoes off in her house

Because uncivilized people who still live in mud houses which can't get dirtier anyway

What the fuck? do you really took your shoes off when, for example, visiting a friend in his house? i understand taking your shoes off when you come to YOUR house and you want to relax in the PC or in the bed, but when visiting somebody's house isn't normal to took your shoes off what the fuck

Dude, are you serious

>blue
>flag

That's a fucking lie.

People with clean houses

So east asia, the middle east and other former USSR countries take off their shoes but central asians don't?

>Go to restaurant
>"Hey user, this place is clean, LETS TOOK OUR SHOES OFF
>Sounds ok to me

Also

>Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Somalia
>Clean houses
>houses

Like really really serious, like, yes, i took my shoes off when i'm in MY home, but when visiting friends i didn't take my shoes off what the fuck

We have slippers for guests. If you go to a friend's house, you wear them. Wearing shoes at home is both dirty and uncomfortable.

First the U.S. I only know three people that do that and one is the father and the other two his sons.

Depending on the establishment, we also take off our shoes before entering into shops, restaurants, etc

>Like really really serious, like, yes, i took my shoes off when i'm in MY home, but when visiting friends i didn't take my shoes off what the fuck

so you take them off in your own house but walk into friends houses with shoes on?
you really are a cunt arent you.

*For the U.S.
I think the whole thing is made up.

>be south asian
>walk with your shoes on the most disgusting streets in the world.
>Hey, I wont take my shoes of Inside my house where i live and my child plays on the floor

It's true though, more descendants of black slaves in the americas wear shoes than the kinsmen of their ancestors who sold them away.

I wear comfy slippers at home, they never leave the house so they're always clean

To me keeping them makes sense, this shit can be really cold

Yeah obsessed people only make you take it off. I see it's a good practice to take them off hygienically, but here is often not nice towards the host. Some women wear no socks, old people don't like to expose their feet, and it's embarrassing to show off your socks (might also be broken accidentally), embarrassing to have smelly feet which happens. For all these reasons, it's normal at a friend's house but normally you don't ask a less close person/adults to do such a thing

It says in a house so I suppose another. I don't see who would keep shoes on when home alone

>what are socks

Use indoor footwear, imbecile.

I think it depends on the culture. Most Americans don't take off their shoes, but it's different for other races. Here in the US, all of my friends (Mexican) take off their shoes if they're a clean and hygienic family. There are also Mexicans who don't bother washing their hands after working on their cars, don't brush their teeth, or brush their hair. These are usually the ones that have dirty smelling houses and don't take off their shoes. Typically, both came from poor rural towns (hence why they came in the first place) but one had a clean and disciplined household to begin with and kept that custom when they came over.

In Mexico and LatAm from what I've seen, it depends on the flooring. Houses with cement or tile usually take off their shoes and put on slippers since the floor is cold. Others keep their shoes on if they are relatively clean (cities with paved roads) and mop the floor once a day. And still others who live in rural areas might keep them on if they have dirt floors or might go barefoot on the dirt itself

It really depends on the person here
My mother for example hates it when somebody walks in the house with his shoes on

Because theres people paid to clean that shit, no one is paid to wash his own home

>and mop the floor once a day
Lol, at least three times per day here
I do but only when i'm home

Attached: 71ttGUIVnRL._SX679_.jpg (679x679, 32K)

>Three times per day
I know I just didn't want to scare the Anglos so I lowered the number

The floor in my house is dirtier than the street, there is no point in taking the shoes off.

In my country people keep their feet cleaner than the pavement.

It's only unsanitary if you have carpet.

Hardwood/marble floors are okay to step on with shoes.

>Canada
Zhang, please.

We just have door mats so you can wipe your shoes before entering

But what are you gonna do if your shoes dirty as fuck? Because of weather or something

It's considered very rude to keep your shoes on Brazil.
Whatever made this is a retard

This is where you are wrong they can afford shoes they are not that poor and you are holding on outdated racist stereotypes, But the truth is that They can't Afford Houses

Now this is based

Do amerikans sleep with their shoes on

I've seen them lay in their beds with shoes on

Kill yourself you weeb, I'm sick of taking off my shoes every time I enter a house, it's disgusting.

In those situations you take the shoes before going inside.

I have a question about Russia. Why do your apartment doors have padded cushions like a sofa?

I've seen them have sex with shoes on.

Savages

>tfw in amerishart tier shithole

I usually stop watching them when they start having sex as I prefer online porn.

I have carpet and keep my shoes on, I just got used to the carpet being dirty.

It would be VERY helpful if you guys clarified what you mean by not using shoes at home, because I have a feeling people here aren't all talking about the same thing. Answer these two questions:

1. Do you wear shoes at home?
2. Imagine you just came back home but you'll immediately need to leave again after picking up something or maybe having a shit, do you wear your shoes during the entire time or do you absolutely feel the need to remove them at the entrance and only put them back when leaving?

queria nuestro gobierno para dejar los venezolanos venir aca.

pero ahora lo se que no quitan los zapatos en sus casas....asqueroso. queda alla.

dejar aca.

lo signica "let them come here" como se dice?

unless im running in because i forgot my keys, shoes off. Also my mom would be pissed if she saw me. If I was doing it at a friends house, shoes would come off no matter what.

>why
It was popular back in the 90s, fashion, y'know. Quite unlike to see those nowadays

What is it called?

Carpet I guess? We just call it kovyor

Not sure it has a name. "Двepь c oбивкoй" is the closest I can think of.
