I just want to use PayPal as a middle man in an exchange like using coinbase or something. I don't trust those sites with my bank account. I thought one of the deals with crypto was privacy?

That's unlikely to happen without a very high mark up to handle the risk. If you really want to, maybe try localbitcoins, or post on some personal ad place maybe?

I just have used PayPal for years and I don't really know if its a good idea to link my bank to some site for trading coins like that.

If you can get it in cash then you can use localbitcoins to make a deposit into other peoples account and they will send you the bitcoin. Or you can find a bitcoin ATM that you put cash in and it sends your bitcoins directly to you.
If you only had paypal then that's usually suspected as a scam where you intend to dispute the transaction and have paypal reverse the charges after you have recieved the bitcoin. Or the paypal account is stolen.

I have my bank linked to PayPal I just didn't want to use my bank and link it to something like coinbase with no middle man. Like I said my goal was to buy btc on coinbase, transfer it to binance and then exchange it for other coins like link or stellar.
I've never heard of a bitcoin ATM I'm also in the middle of nowhere so I'm not sure if any of those things would work out.

Crypto was private prior to the normie invasion after late 2017, now 'trustable' exchanges now require kyc after they been cucked by the government as they want a piece of the pie as the bubble popped. i had cuckbase since 2016 but i couldn't put in anymore fiat until i gave in my info to (((them))). Even then, it took 3 weeks before i can withdraw whereas prior, the process was much faster and it just fucking sucks. I am looking for something else but as time goes on, its getting more unlikely might be a good thing as the bear run drags out as there is no more normies to pump bags as of now.

Fucking pathetic with even something like crypto the kikes are still taking over. I have a few friends who dabble in crypto as well (around 10k~) they say the only real option is coinbase too.
