the problem with chainlink is how do you know when to sell
people who "made it" with ETH who held too long are fucked now
if you dont gamble and sell at the exact right time you will not make it
so in order to make it with chainlink you need to make it by buying chainlink but then you have to gamble and accurately know when to sell
your target to sell some at 10$ well it might only reach 9$ and then drop to 4$ and nobody will have sold
its impossible to know its a total gamble
you cant know when to sell you might have a target to sell at 25$
well what if it goes to 24$ and then sinks to 11$ for 2 years
or what if you only sell 10% of your stack at 25$ and then 10% at 50$ and think youre going to slowly cash out but then thats the peak and it starts dropping quickly to 10$ and then to 1$
you would have only sold 20% of your stack
theres so many different situations you literally cant make it with link because the gamble of when to exit
thousands of people who had 1m+ ATH are now flat broke because they held too long
you can see them in the JUST threads theyre all over. thousands upon thousands of broke people because its impossible to know when to cash out
Its impossible to "make it" with link
Jace Anderson
most people are just relying on some ridiculous number like 1000$ eoy to cash out because then its obvious you can sell at that point its safe
it takes all the hard work and hard thinking away from it
well obviously you sell at 1000 but its going to be a lot more complicated than that in reality
youre not going to be given an easy solution by just mooning to numbers where it doesnt matter anymore and staying there
Julian Williams
hmm wow it would be so cool if LINK had a way to generate income just from holding it so you didn't have to worry about selling during price swings
KYS you fucking faggot
William Johnson
if anything that idea is going to cause even more thousands of people to lose tons of money
because they think theyre just going to hold it and keep generating money but what if it drops from 1000 to 1$
you will be generating pennies with your node bullshit
Brody Ortiz
The blockchain era.. like the sound of that. Good times ahead for Bitcoin Cash.
Henry Smith
Haha wow. I can’t tell you are getting scared that you have not accumulated enough. There very little time left so you should be getting worried. Try fudging better and harder bud.
Carson Johnson
plenty of people with 100k link wont make it either just because they will want more money
they get greedy and hodl too long
Ryder Adams
$1000 EOY retards are same as $0.1 retards. Mainnet will provide REAL price discovery. No more speculation, price will be driven by use of the network. If it is useful it is likely that use will increase, increasing price. This shit ain't gonna shoot up to $1000 or $0 based on whims like crypto up to this point, price will be set based on the types of returns it provides.
Nathan Hill
Me could save them alot of time: Smart contracts are a worthless meme on the blockchain
Jackson Hernandez
Nice just sold 100k
Anthony Rodriguez
I'd come on her board if you know what I mean (her forehead)

Buddy, Chainlink fees are priced in FIAT and paid in LINK. If staking fees only amount to pennies, LINK will never be worth $1000's of dollars.
Over the long term, I expect that Chainlink's network will be widely used. In the long term, LINK's value will be worth the present value of future staking fees. Holding LINK for any other reason than passive income is being the ultimate goyim.
Jackson Morris
no hodling for income is the biggest goyim ever
crypto is the riskiest business around you dont just keep money in there for years or you will lose everything its already happened to many people from the last bubble who had 1m+ ATH and now worth like 200$
Adam Ward
idk man.
Nick "Satoshi" Szabo was talking about how in the simple smart contract, the vending machine,
security comes from it costing more to breach the til then you would get from it.
and what would be the easiest entry point to breach the contract? the triggering data.
so to effectively secure the fourth industrial revolution LINK *MUST* have an astronomically high price. it needs to have a value sufficent to provide "collateral" of 110% of the value of the contract it is servicing.
as it is written let it be done
Jason Thomas
you shouldn't look at the price when you decide to sell, fucking retard

This is a problem that is in no way new. Investors have traditionally used graded buy or sell orders to moderate risk exposure within uncertain markets. If this is a concern for you, simply divide the amount you would like to buy or sell into 4-10 parts and place your buy or sell orders across the range of prices you feel will be reasonable for the time in which you’d like to buy or sell. This way you don’t have to time the market and will have the added benefit of not needing to waste your own time as an “active trader.”

Yea, people don’t understand. The more valuable the network (chainlink) is, the safer it is. It will be extremely difficult to take down and this makes it very valuable.
Elijah Thomas
I see 4 Link logos on that announcement

Sir. I am actually more qualified to discuss about this than most anons.I am employed with cyber cafe company in Mumbai. I do a lot of work for cryptocurrency projects. Open source, decentralized, APIs, partnerships, you name it friend. We be one of the first companies in line for project like Chainlink, if the decentralized smart contract space had more value over traditional data exchanges. There's a catch though, an underlying flaw more deeply embedded in the bedrock of LINK than the very code itself. The flaw is with the concept, and it's this: Companies won't actually go through the hassle of trusting their data API's through crypto.
Now I can already hear your keyboards going frantic, but do the needful and hear me out sir. Jow Forums hates banks, and traditional data providers. But actual companies, businesses, and investors do not. There's an old saying you might have heard of: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!". The idea that any of major companies would go ahead and put valuable data in a smart contract on a cryptocurrency called Chainlink, that they've never heard of, they would be laughed at best and fired on the spot at worst.
'But Chainlink is trustless!' I hear you cry, but is it really good thing? Just listen to the sound of it. Businesses don't want to spend millions of dollars on something that is trustLESS, they want something trustFUL. 'But the reputation system!', doesn't that defeat the whole point of your coin? If companies only trust nodes with high reputation, what's the difference between trusting banks and data providers that already have reputation, but in real life not on a computer screen.
The fact is, LINK is going to share the same fate as ETH will. A lot of 'real world application' hype, with a lot of 'crypto world application' reality. Only, this billion supply coin isn't going to come close to the $1k that Etherum hit. Happy gambling though anons. Please sir. Do the needful. Do not buy LINK and sell all LINK you have currently.

The point of using canned responses is to point out the obvious: most anons post valueless bullshit without even humor value. That your post can be correctly addressed with pre-made text is a direct indication that you should post less and lurk more.
