I'm tall, handsome, grounded but have an Irish charm. Made promo films for big tech like Google, Facebook, Apple as well as tv commercials. Yet I'm just on a £37k salary and feel like I'm wasting my life. I need some red pill ideas or break out stories about how I can change direction and make a ballsy move. Tired of being a wage cuck and wasting my potential for big money. I'm interested in entrepreneurship but haven't had a eureka moment for a business plan. The dream is to be a creative director and own a media company to create based beautiful games, trailers or films. I'm still young but need to straighten myself out soon. I'm just tired of the grind for someone else's benefit.
I'm tall, handsome, grounded but have an Irish charm. Made promo films for big tech like Google, Facebook...
>Irish charm
Fuck off, we're full.
We're all tired of wagecucking. That's why we put our hopes of getting rich into fake internet money. I don't know what you want me to say. Just keep trying? I mean, whatever your dream is, you gotta figure out how others did it and then get to work on it.

youtube dude
Who is full? I'm in the most full city in Europe (hint: it's a shit hole fill of acid attacks)
Fuck off and quit complaining.
> I'm only on 37k
37k in FUCKING Ireland is amazing salary or anywhere in the UK except London
Guess where I happen to live....
do what every driven successful european has done for the last 100 years: come to america
our pendulum is already swinging back
yours will not last
Its not that amazing at all for someone who sees greater potential going to waste in himself... Some people just know/feel they are worth more and anyone who settles for second best can never reach the heights of 1m+ salaries.
37k is alright, but it is more the fact he is literally selling 40-50 hours of his life per week for shekels for producing work that will go on to enrich his boss more more than the remuneration he has received for his labor.
Don't give me the shit like, "oh but his boss set up the company, has marketing costs, legal costs etc."
OP how much do you invoice for your work? Bet it is multiples more than your bosses overheads and your wages.
Working for other people is a fucking joke.
Oh yeh what I cost is peanuts. I used to be freelance but now full time on a salary as mentioned before 37k. If I was to go freelance again I could prob get 250/ day easy but means I will continue to be trapped in the London shekel rat race forever. Want to go home to Belfast ideally I think... Too expensive here

56 percenter goblino
you sound like a massive faggot OP
So you were born with good genes that made you tall and attractive and you've managed to be on a 37k salary without doing any real work?
Get a job lol, do you have a degree? You haven't had a "eureka moment"? You think "eureka moments" are what make people rich? You want to be ballsy?
That's not how any of this works, it's not about charisma or being ballsy, it's about intelligence and hard work. Sorry to be harsh but get a job, you got life handed to you on a silver platter and you still can't scrap it
Quick and easy solution
Kill yourself
Are your English skills bad? I have had a job making films for the biggest tech companies in the world. I still have this job. I'm trying to get rich and make something based. P.s. I have a degree (woopdy fucking do)
>P.s. I have a degree (woopdy fucking do)
You didn't bother saying what type of degree it is so it's obviously garbage. Wow, you make films, big deal. You better reinvent your life direction because "making films" isn't where the money is unless you get into the lucky 0.0001% with connections with big producers.
>trying to get rich and make something based
>based
Lmao
Anyway how about you write down some of your ideas. Everyone wants to have a euroka moment that just makes them rich, but like I said that's not how this works
What are your ideas that are going to make you rich? You think someone is going to come into this thread and tell you their idea that helps you get your idea that makes you rich? What is the point of this thread? Nobody here can help you because you're asking for handholding
What if I were to make an elder scrolls movie someday. Lord of the rings is based. Come on dude. My degree is a BSc but it's very broad across multimedia. Degrees don't matter in this industry. What qualifies you personally to know dick about this industry? I prob have more experience than you do
That's cool but why would they let you make an Elder Scrolls movie instead of some other director with a history of making high income movies? Who are you? Nobody, I've never heard of you. Do you have your own money to do this? Nobody's going to just give you money to do this.
Look man you sound like the stereotypical "I'm gonna be a rapper some day, don't talk shit" people who work at McDonald's except for movie production. Get real, you're not going to make a fucking Elder Scrolls movie, they wouldn't let you taint their brand. If you were the type of person with the ability to end up doing this you wouldn't be making this retarded Jow Forums thread, just some tough pills to swallow I'm giving you user.
>Type of degree
>BSc that is very broad across multimedia
You didn't even name a major and the official name of the degree, that's how we all know it's bullshit, no offense, you're going after your dream and that's cool but the phrase "starving artist" exists for a reason
I suggest you get used to wagecucking and start learning how to be thrifty, save money, invest it wisely, and maybe at 55 or 60 you can retire
I wouldn't let it get to you, there's always some bitter faggot in a basement on here who will try to convince you that you're just "not doing enough" and then make up a bunch of bullshit stats about how great they are to make you feel bad about yourself. They're in literally thread.
People like you are enablers of irresponsible and unrealistic goals. Does OP have a realistic plan set out? I asked him some of his ideas and he just said "I want to make an Elder Scrolls movie"
Wow, what a fleshed out plan. Get real. What OP needs is some advice on how to climb the wagecuck ladder and invest responsibly, not encouragement to pursue his goals he can't even muster the energy to define in more than a few sentence
If OP was legit he'd write multiple 2k character posts about his execution plan and how he's going to do it - he can't even write more than a paragraph though.
Why don't you settle for something more realistic in the time being like making your own media company? Start small, local commercials, animations, etc. Get an office. Work your way up.
Case in point... You clearly aren't reading between the lines. Or the lines themselves. I could get into this with you but all I will say is go look at the films Peter Jackson made before LOTR. Specifically the one about the bloodthirsty rabbit...
I already said degree means nothing in film / media. I can see the ceiling in terms of traditional career progression. From here I can be a senior editor and prob hit the cap at 60k. I literally started freelancing the min I finished my degree 4 yrs ago and have been full time after 3 months. So I'm not sure what you're trying to project onto me.
I guess I stated the thread asking for guidance stories. Nuggets of knowledge to help me down a path. Perhaps someone has been in a situation like me where they can see the ceiling.
I think I know what the truth is. That I'll have to keep doing side projects until something really takes off. I don't want to say too much but I sold my own film to an airline last year which was cool. Played worldwide on their flights. I think I just need to do more films outside of the ones I make in work.
