They will not be cashflow positive for Q3 or even close. They were not cash flow positive for July, they fucked up production/deliveries as well. Even worse, demand may not be keeping up with production.

If you think there is some chance he might be telling the truth, buy a spread and use calls to pay @ 420 for way OTM puts. Jan strikes prob safest. That's the best way I can think to play both sides. No matter what, I would limit your downside (ie don't short anything). This is a crazy stock.

Robinhood Options question: You can sell JUST the contracts right? You don't have to actually execute the contracts. But I am confused why it says Contracts x 100 shares. And that Max Cost is so high when I'm only buying one call. I thought you buy one contract to buy one stock?

That's painful to look at. Is it from wallstreetbets? You should always have a realistic strike price and break-even price when you play with options... Or just not buy any, which is what I do. Writing options has made me a ton though!

I've made 140% ytd from long options, but I would be lying if I told you that I haven't had nearly total loss sometimes. Recently got wrecked for -80% by USO calls. The trick is spreading your positions around so that one dying isn't crippling. You know, basic risk management goes a long way when you're dealing with something as risky as options.

The trick with buying options is not to exercise them. Buy the options based on what position you want to take, with at least a few months before expiry. Sell the option once it has appreciated to leave the position. Use long options as a way to leverage your positions.
