How well do my fellow euros know the US states?
Other urls found in this thread:
the hardest part is new england, but holy shit I'm good
With Washington i just got confused with Oregon
Missouri and Wisconsin i genuinely didn't know
40%. That's still more than most countries except perhaps some neighboring countries in the region. And the US has 50 states. Yet look at this thread and how everyone knows them. Truly a superpower.
>AmErIcANs aRe bAd aT gEoGRaPHY
Fuck these tiny states on coast
Now do Asia and Africa
ok 49% this time. It would've been easier if I could associate something with each state. I have no picture of them in my mind so they are all the same to me. Maybe if they had more unique borders or if I knew the difference this would've been easier.
now do the pacific and the caribbean
Damn , impressive as fuck. Jow Forums is truly the highest IQ board
>Not knowing the provinces of your own country
ok now I know more than half of them. good stuff
is American really this important that people from other countries literally know most of the states? what fuck? fuck off, leave us alone.
honestly kinda surprised about this too
I used to be better with africa but i'm out of practice
also who gives a rat's rear end
I don't care, all the state borders are made up and the USA has no culture or history
I just like geography and history
Again i just confused Niger with Nigeria
I tried
Not bad
Here's an easy way to remember:
Niger is the one that looks like a fried chicken leg
aaaah
what the fuck is up with your billion square states in the middle and another billion scrunched up in the top right? this is too hard
How did you not know new york?
Can you get England?
I thought it was the small oneon the coast! isn't it a city? where did all that land come from? ffs
FUCK
The city is on the very tip
The rest of the state is a flyover area colloqually referred to as "upstate new york"
Not too well
The east coast and the square states in the middle are bullshit
>is American really this important that people from other countries literally know most of the states?
yes
>fuck off, leave us alone
no :3
how embarrassing
>rome
>amsterdam
>troy
Post yours
>Syracuse
>Potsdam
>Geneva
Americans are just Europe wannabes
how would you guys fare at India?
I didn't enjoy that at all
post link
Best continent coming through
Why is "lower" Austria at the uppermost?
That test is retarded.
>Croat subhuman can't remember a few names
Because they're "lower" than the southern, more mountainous regions on the alps
Why?
Not bad , i probably don't know a single indian state except for punjab
Well normal people should know Florida is in the South East, NY, Washington and Boston are in NE. Washington state at the Northern pacific, what and where Texas, California and Alaska are. The Mississipi river flowing into the Gulf of Mexico, around the river the redneck states. Additionally a bit of history, oil industry in Texas, Elvis and Mafia in Las Vegas, formerly car industry Detroit. The rest is more or less irrelevant.
Because finding the location of Rhode Island on that shitty map is completely irrelevant.
plebs
heres mine
not bad, most of us wouldn't get the north-eastern states and the Portuguese and French ex colony union territories either, and I doubt anyone remembers Orissa exists. Rajasthan and Maharashtra are the only ones you could be faulted on missing, if that.
really? Punjab is the one state I usually fuck up, mistaking Himachal Pradesh or Haryana for it. I have EU4 to thank for European geography
Ahhh I'd forgotten about that, makes sense
ngl some of these I ended up clicking out of sheer luck, but I did remember some thanks to Crusader Kings 2 and EU4, mainly Assam/Rajastan/Gujarat//Telangana/Bihar. I knew Nagaland had to be near Burma, and I knew Pondicherry and Goa because of French and Portuguese colonialism respectively. West Bengal was easy, as were the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. J&Kashmir and Punjab were easy as fuck for me to guess, as was Delhi. The rest that I got were sheer guesses.
here's my mexico, how'd I do?
I didn't see Croatia in that list, do you have a link for a similar test for your country?
Oh and Tamil Nadu, that one stuck in my head for some reason.
*ahem*
amateurs
bad
mine
Nope
That's pretty good desu. most of my geography knowledge comes from EU4 too, I even managed to navigate in a road trip in my own state mainly from the knowledge from playing Vijayanagara so often
fuck how did you do so well? Most Indians can't do that well itself
there were too many Aztec and Spanish phonemes in the names, I couldn't even pronounce them in my head, the only ones I actually remembered were Tlaxcala, yucatan and the Baja california ones, the rest were guesses
why tlaxcala?
rival whenever I play aztec in EU4. I know Cholula and tlapanec too, but apparantly that's not a state in modern mexico
it's the freaking midwest that fucks me up
Not bad not gonna lie :D
31%
Hi fellow euro, i did pretty well
do you guys really?
Embarassing
Do an asian one
This is what I've got for 100%. Working on Pacific and Caribbean atm, those ones are more tricky, even though I know the names of most of those places.
>How well do my fellow euros know the US states?
>American proudly proceed to show he knows his own country
fuck all the stans
And yes, I do know the names of the places there, just not location fully
>fuck all the stans
Kek exactly my thoughts.
Here's mine
I am bad
American states aren't like actual countries so not not knowing them isn't a big deal
thank the lord for CKII
Lmao I got 57% on my first try. I don’t bother learning anything east of Colorado.
