not an expert either, but my 2c:
i think trump is trying to cut away as much globalist ties from us as he can. its not because he doesnt like foreigners or shit like that, but because the more interconnected and dependent on other you are, the more you hurt during global financial crises. if he and his advisers think that theres a huge recession around the corner, much of what he does makes a lot of sense. after the recession blows over, he can fuck off, be a scapegoat for all that shit and pave a way for a new prez, who will reincorporate us to the global economy. basically a win-win situation.
