Welp, another week another wage.

Icebreaker: What kind of BS is on everyone’s plate this week?

resigned today
neetdom from friday

Software engineer here, deadline this week that’s impossible to meet. It’s fucked up because the newer engineers who don’t know how this company runs work overtime to try meeting these deadlines, only to find out four days before that the requirements have changed and the deadline pushed back. So now instead of relaxing after the old deadline they get to do more work. Engineers who are strategic enough about slacking are better off.

Poopin on the clock because I've done everything needed to be done and I don't know what to do

OP here

Welp. In the office...

Who here morning /cuppa/? Having a nice tall glass in my office with the mug from the Uni I graduated. NEETs will never know this feel. On the agenda this week? Clicking buttons whenever someone walks by to pretend I’m working taking Friday off to go visit friends in another state and keeping my fingers crossed we see another dip below 6k to accumulate more BTC were all gonna make it anons. I believe in my fellow wagies.

what was your job?

any plans for what's next?

Birthday this week so I get Thursday and Friday off.

So, today is technically my Wednesday :)

E-commerce platform"manager"/developer here.
Main service of the company I work at is Dropshipping. Currently integrating a new marketplace into our system.
Managed to eliminate a good chunk of expected workload by exchanging a few mails with my marketplace integration partners.
Boss is happy.
Maybe I'll get a payrise soon.

Just made a $30k bonus

time to skew the shitcoin market and make NEETS seethe

consulting
being a neet, getting a master's, or freelancing on upwork

hopefully a mix of all 3

That looks comfy as fuck.

How do I get a to work in a nice wageslave office? I have basic admin skills so should I just embellish my resume?

>>Been putting off changing my password because i know it'll fuck up all my access.
>> Had to change it today
>>access fucked

Dont need this shit m9.

I work weekends so today is my Wednesday.
Everything at work is on fire. I'm fucked.

basic data entry jobs will take just about anyone with a warm body that will show up

local temp agencies might be a good place to start if you have no idea where to look

Like on fire, fire?

its me again
havent clogged the toilet this week yet but i took another shit in the office toilet this morning
much more solid than last week since i didnt eat fatty food this weekend more than once

Up at 6. Drive around picking up ridiculous anxious patients. Dealing with their doctors who panic at any sign of discomfort or symptom that could be something they just googled. One patient was fucking on the floor Infront of her Mac after googling heart attack. They're all fine except from being weak-minded. We all argue. My boss wants me to respond to a complaint from a hospital. Some bitch nurse had a bad day and now they're trying to make me and my partner look bad. Fuck it. I love driving around seeing this shit while being able to go to the store, visiting friends and flirting with hot nurses all day.

Will take a look for data entry jobs then user thankyou. Currently employed but job is not /comfy/tier.

like "higher ups thought it would be a good idea to uninstall microsoft office from every computer to perform updates " fire

Ahhh the good old upper mgmt mong. We've just moved onto a single sign on system and its absolute wank! Unreliable and our tech support is outsourced to some distant country (you know where).

SSO systems are pretty good if well implement though

Got into work today and our internet is out, likely gonna get sent home. What a glorious way to start the week

based

Hope you're not getting paid hourly.

Yep the only issue is that i have to use multiple sign ins to access off site secure info and the vpn that i need to load into that environment doesn't work while signed in. The only thing its single signing us into is office 365. Its a shit show and i still have to log into and out of several systems daily.

>>sign into laptop using hard token
>>sign into windows
>>sign into soft token
>>sign into secure environment
>>do a bit of work in secure environment
>>sign off secure environment
>>sign into vpn software
>>NOW YOU CAN USE SINGLE SIGN IN TO ACCESS YOUR EMAILS. REEEEEEEEE.

work is pretty comfy tho.

Happy early birthday user, any plans?

Called in sick. Fuck that two day weekend bullshit.

Same. I'm sick of having a job honestly.

wage

Nothing is happening here.
I want to go home, I dont like the people here
I am working so I can work the next week too

Killing time right now, just doing trivial shit, I think I'll leave at Noon without taking a lunch.

Feels good to personally have charmed your supervisor and getting the flexibility to work whatever hours you want.

Adding to this, if you are at all familiar with IT or are early in learning programming, data entry jobs are one of the best ways to get started in the industry.

ever stop and realize that we’ll be doing this well through our primes and into old age? like have you ever really stopped and thought about it? it’s actually kind of terrifying

parasites feeding off of the parasites. welcome to 2018. fuck this gay earth

what the fuck happened to 9-5? when did it turn into 8-5?

more like 7 to 7

Can't pay for your lunch hour anymore, sorry.

WAGE

>What kind of BS is on everyone’s plate this week
Nothing really special, same old stuff of writing programs to scrape websites and find pirated content. Once this Friday is done though, I'll be taking an 11-day vacation to go up to Washington State to see some friends + Penny Arcade Expo

> 4:30pm weekly sync meeting.
> "user, what are your thoughts on Q2 goals moving foward? Are you on track to narrow down the scope?"
> "y..yes I'm going to circle back tomorrow and hit the ground running on these initiatives"
> meeting wraps up, get back to my desk
> 5:30pm. time to leave.
> Put laptop in backpack. Empty Coke can goes in recycling bin. Half eaten nature valley bar goes in trash (they're free, got it from the white kitchen cabinet)
> "See ya tommorrow!"
> exit through the sliding glass doors at the building entrance
> feel the warmth of the sun and outside air. bones still cold from 8 hours of AC
> Return to a dark, empty apartment. Frozen pizza for dinner.
> Fall asleep watching "The Office". My favorite show.
> wake up at 6:30am, 20 minutes before my alarm.
> the wage cuck cycle repeats

Attached: 1515640467906.jpg (601x508, 31K)

Truly frightening

I cannot even believe people do this all their lives. How is that even possible? I just couldn't, absolutely no way.

>> "user, what are your thoughts on Q2 goals moving foward? Are you on track to narrow down the scope?"
>> "y..yes I'm going to circle back tomorrow and hit the ground running on these initiatives"
>sync meeting
I wouldn't be surprised if this is how your meetings go. Is this just part of american culture or why are you all so round about?
In my country we don't throw any curve balls but instead hit it all out straight to the center.

hey guys did some of you ever worked as a night porter at a hotel? how was it?

Just coming back from holidays, finished muh first day of work.
Solved a handful of problems that had sprung up during my holidays with a new chemistry I was benchmarking. Told the supplier of the former chemisty we won't buy his shitty sauce anymore, probably gonna have to close his factory lel.
Took a 2h-long lunch break with all the other engineers in my team (we also shared a bottle of wine).
What's left for the week is some R&D and bossing technicians around to make my work easier.

I've studied cults a lot. The key to a good cult is to have a set of terminology, acronyms, lingo, sayings, phrases, etc. Scientology is a good example of this.

It basically makes you feel more part of the group. It's a different language that you have to learn. It's wage cuck indoctrination

I have my series 7 Friday with absolutely no chance of passing, so I’m gonna leave my 8-8 sales hell and go back to looking for work

EMT?

On break. Going to so somewhere out of sight after my break and slack off until lunch time.
Hoping for a dip too. Gotta get that fuck you money.

happy lunch time bros

anyone else thinking about becoming a fire fighter or a cop or something? i gotta get out of the office

How was it? I'm planning to get into consulting and kinda don't know where to begin.

I work with a bunch of women. Constant boners when I'm not annoyed.

Imagine spending your days using a computer program for someone else because they can't bother.
Honestly, I'm not one to say. I only worked for 3months or so. It felt like a dead end and I didn't want to sacrifice all my time on that since I don't have to.

I wouldn't do it again, but maybe someone with less ambition would.

my old wagecucking chill outside at lunchtime spot to get away from the normies. there's nothing thats a walking distance from my office building unless you want to walk a half an hour to a pizza place. the office building is off of a main road with barely any businesses aside from corporate office buildings.

Attached: IMG_1043.jpg (640x480, 94K)

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck this used to be me before I quit. holy shit.

Attached: 1521744036263.png (231x218, 6K)

10-6 here

what's for lunch bros

what's up guys. slow day. posting from my work computer

Wagecucks lmao

I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing. Right now i'm working as a Test analyst and staring at a computer monitor 8 hours a day everyday nonstop fucking kills me. What are some non-brainlet careers that involve meeting and talking to people?

Demographic of my office is mostly asian and indian (tech company)

We get free catered lunch which is cool but its never anything I'm used to. Today is Pho.

Attached: 31-pho-tai-2.jpg (1600x994, 861K)

become a product mangager or product specialist. has an analytical side to it but also have to be social enough to be able to establish rapport between departments/other companies and be specialized in what you support

based, pho is awesome

Not me. As soon as I hit 30k in savings I'm quitting. And then it's swim or day. I'll try to live off of the internet. Trading, online poker, affiliate marketing, you name it. Worst case, I'll go broke but at least I will have enjoyed a couple of years of freedom before I turn 30.

>What kind of BS is on everyone’s plate this week?
Yugioh fag here. My fall college semester started today. I had one class this morning, and I just now got to work. I am fortunate enough to have a job that is incredibly flexible--I can come and go as I please, and I can have anywhere from 10-40 hours a week, and it's a comfy office job. I don't really do anything here, except here lately I am helping the owner of this business sell some furniture on Craigslist.

What I'm most worried about is how I'm going to keep up my side-gig: digital art. I draw anime/manga style commissions for $50 flat, but that takes time... I don't know if I'll be able to keep it up with that and school/work. I took on some heavy classes this semester, even started learning Japanese so I can read my moon-rune instructional drawing books. Probably won't be able to play yugioh competitively like I wanted to, either.

Any tips on time management?

who here /oilfield/ here?

I am on day 5 of 24. The ride never ends.

Chicken tendies and green tea

consulting has meetings & emailing too. For me, it was the worst part. But you're usually consulting people who spend money to have someone else do it.

Another week of retail cuckery begins

At least i just unload the deliveries and not stuck on the tills or anything

Attached: ahhhhhhhh.jpg (700x700, 60K)

Factory Wagie here- just waking up to get showered before work.
My job is pretty comfy and the downtime spent at home is spent making use of my art degree. After work, when I get home at midnight, I'll work on drawings for at least 2 hours. Peak of creativity for me is at night when I should be sleeping. Maybe it's time you find a job that fits with your creative cycle? Drawing for longer than 4 hours burns me out, but I do traditional ink artwork...
Also, what platform you sell your drawlings on?

Attached: IMG_20180602_082024_707.jpg (1053x1053, 301K)

Remember to prioritize the grades for now then figure out everything after that

Very nice. How do I into mech drawings? I tried working through Scott Robertson's book, but that thing is practically two semesters of work.

I sell on Etsy. They have a very useful promotion tool that doesn't really cut into your profits if you're selling a lot every month.

This is my nightmare about our field. I'm a computer science major at 26 years of age but still haven't worked (catastrophic injury in 2014).

Ill be rehabilitated and able to move and work in the start of 2019 but I'm fucking terrified of software jobs being frantic shitstorms that never allow you to rest or get comfy.

I don't know what to think. All my compsci friends work like dogs 8 to 1900 with 3 weeks of vacation all year.

Britbong here. I was on earlier. Day is done for me. About to put kids to bed and then its netflix/(hopefully) chill before starting it all again tomorrow.

>hopefully
Are the memes true?

reeee

we know man. let it out

Fuck off crappy

Main job tasks for me have been outsourced to the Philippines which has left so much downtime while we "restructure" that it makes me want to club someone to death with my phone receiver.

Anyone else here freezing all day by the way?

I swear the office temp is set at like 62 and then I step outside and it's 105, fuck where can I be comfy???

My hands and feet get cold in the office. Sometimes it actually feels good to get in my hot car after work

I would just say be serious about scheduling. You can ALWAYS make time for things, even if it's an hour a day. Write a daily schedule and plot out what times and how much time you spend on things. I did this when I was neet. I spent an hour or two learning a language and an hour drawing. What days off do you have? Devote more time to finishing commissions on those days. Pretty basic advice I guess nothing special. Hope things work out for you your situation sounds comfy

>You can ALWAYS make time for things
>I did this when I was neet.
kek

It always feels good for me

Am I the only person who enjoyed my time working in an office?

>comfy; desk was ok and chair was decent
>decent people; at least compared to the morons I've worked with since
>flexible times; I could come and go as I pleased as long as my hours worked added up roughly every month. I'd pick days to work longer (there would always be other people doing the same) and go home at lunch every Friday at least
>decent to good pay
>4 weeks paid vacation

Maybe its because I'm in Europe. Either way, beats factory work any day of the week. Actually wish I could go back but I fucked up and now I'm stuck truly wageslaving.

>Either way, beats factory work any day of the week
Yep, feel like you can't truly appreciate office work until you've been forced to do factory work or retail.

Do you burgers have the habit when birthdayfag buys cake and sheit for the rest of workers and gives a speech in front of everyone
Tried to conceal birthday but got doxxed by my boss
What fucking sadist invented this

Assistant Bank manager here, just got offered promotion to full manager. Been wanting to quit bc I'm tired of networking and cold calling and dealing with clients but the money's not horrendous for the amount of actual work I do.

Someone just kill me already

Attached: 1534652419486.jpg (1840x2327, 802K)

I work at UPS. I dont think i belong on this board ;/

im a work at home - full time software dev for a fortune 500 company. I have 3 webpages, ~4 actions deep on each (popups, grids, dialogs) due for friday. I have 3 scheduled gates to pass off various parts to QA during the week. ill probably sleep and play vidya until wednesday and then do some modafinil and bang it out in a day.

You people don't know my pain.

Attached: 6t16rmvi64c11.jpg (1939x1280, 264K)

i did systems management before I went to programming (~5 years ago). MCSE / CCNA. Amazon took over that job and I essentially was told learn to code or you are fired. its the only thing that pays the bills, for companies that prefer white man to the packi sweatshop.

I'm considering leaving tech. I'm sick of this shit and all the bullshit that surrounds it. I only got into it cause I liked it and the money was pretty good. Now the money isn't good anymore.
