holy shit.... I just realised something. Because of bitcoin, capitalism is now impossible to destroy.
Imagine a fully communist state where everyone gets rations of food, rations of oil, rations of water etc. Currency no longer exists therefore you cant do "work" to earn money and even if you could no one would accept it anyway since the money would not be backed by anything and therefore could not be authenticated to not be counterfeit... but wait; Enter bitcoin.
You can now do "work" in exchange for bitcoin secretly and actually have a currency that other entrepeneurs/vendors would be willing to accept, secretly of course. There would be an entire underground captialist economy.
It really wouldn't be beyond the power of a sufficiently powerful nation-state to cripple the internet and turn it into some sort of North Korean government controlled sandbox
