>"give her 10% of the company
Never going to make it

Is there a good guide on how to not make money?

Any rich biz people here that can give advice? I have gotten $40,000 so far.

Bump

40k is a lot more than most of us will ever see. I reccomend putting 30k in LINK, you will be a billionare within a few years

Has anyone read my pitch?

not really, no

I’m selling at 2% for every $1,000.

>wow lol pic is so easy xdddd

50k in profit or revenue? Or 50k in "seed" from family who are very disappointed in how you turned out and hope they can solve the problem by throwing money at it?

Most startups get like $10k to start, so good job. If you get further along, then sure people will throw money in at some point.

I dont fully understand why you need more money. Cant you just use the funding to make a prototype then kickstarter it.

$40k in investment from outside sources, not family.

so 10k from worried family...gotcha.
What about revenue? Any sales at all?

We used all the funding. My dev will front me the money to have our prototype rebuilt and my app dev is doing $10k of work for $2,500 that I don’t have to pay till after everything is finished. So I guess I can launch with like a $1,000 ad budget and a shitty campaign video. I want to do it right though. If I get the $10k I can raise $600k.

I have gotten the money from hitting up people on Instagram. No sales yet. Other Kickstarters for gloving products have raised a lot.

I can raise $600k if I can just get another $5,000 to $10,000 to polish everything.

there can't be serious demand for something as frivolous as a light up glove, can there?

Yes, it’s only a 7 year old industry and already generating hundreds of millions a year in sales between the companies.

A good pair will cost you over a hundred bucks.

This is WikiHow tier

Is that a bad thing?

Bump. Can anyone give me feedback on my pitch?

Straightforward enough.

Thanks. Anybody else?

>who have shown in the forums
which forums
>really want new innovative products
just sounds dumb. get rid of "new" obviously you're not selling used products - derp
>a forum of 26,000 dedicated glovers, word will spread like wildfire.
major assumption
>I am willing to exchange 20%
giving up this much equity is retarded. never start here. any investor that isn't a brainlet will negotiate. start much lower.
>for this amount because we have no sales yet. I am also willing to set aside $10,000 and another $5,000 to account for taxes to repay your investment.
makes you sound desperate and that you really don't think it will work. delete it.
i'll go on if you reply. but remember to sell the sizzle, not the steak. don't get into all the details, stick to the broad picture and the "dream". there are a lot of dumb people with money who will give it to you if you don't talk them out of it.

your estimates are shit. you say $200m a year in sales happens in this space, but I don't see any 5 year projections. I don't see what chunk of the market you think you can get. do you have a CFO? if so, fire them for doing a shit job

Please go on!!!

Are 5 year projections even possible? We don’t have CFO , maybe I should get one.

Your advice really helps. Thanks!

Bump for feedback.

you're welcome. is the link to your info basically notes or are you sending it to potential investors? i guess the question i'm really asking is are you doing any in-person pitches? if this is what you're sending to people, it has way too much info. basically, you want to outline the size of the industry, which you did well, show your prototype, and then illustrate how you expect to generate sales. everything else should be removed. if someone asks for additional info, give it to them, but only when they ask. giving away 20% equity when you could've only given away 10%.

yes, just project out what you expect your growth to be like over the next 5 years. or you could do 3 years. but at least some projections of renevue vs costs, captial expendures, taxes, etc will be expected by anyone who'd consider writing you a check for $600k

I send it to potential investors. I havn’t done a lot of in person pitching.I’ll try to cut everything down. I will also lower my equity offer. Anything else?

I know just who to hire, thanks!

i can go through it to make it sound better if you like but i don't have time tonight, i need to go to bed. you've got a cool product and i think it will sell. definitely do not show all your competitors and their individual market shares. i know it shows the size of the market, but stick to the entire market, not the individual companies. it would make me not want to invest because what's the point if there are so many options already.
this will sound dumb, but you almost have to act like you don't need their money and they are lucky to have this opportunity, but to do it in a way that doesn't come across as smug. this isn't easy, but it is possible. man, i'd love to spruce it up for you when you drill it down.

also, like the other user said, figure out your projections and when investors can expect to get a return on their money and provide it when they ask.

please post again if you like and i will keep an eye out. the next few days i will not be checking Jow Forums, but after that i will. good luck, bro.

You have helped a lot. Thanks. Send me an email if your willing to help me more at [email protected] , the odds of us meeting on here again is slim.

I need your help user. You are my savior. Plz email me.

ok, i have your email. i'll be in touch. do you have a website, twitter, instagram, or anything like that?

youre a stupid faggot

>You are my savior.
kek. i will be travelling until the end of the week. i'll be in touch after that. that should give you some time to work on the presentation some.

We have an Insta but it has been barely used.

>implying we're not all trolling here

Great. Shoot me one now so you remember. Anyways goodnight user. Your help is appreciated.
