>b-b-but it sounds dumb in spanish it's better i-in my lords language

What? there are "english" names of pokemons? i thought the names were the same in all countries.

they are different in japanese

Different countries use different names
Except spain who use the english names for some reason
It's like they are ashamed if their own language
They could have at least used the original japanese if they wanted to stay faithful to the source material but they used a translation

>french guy thinks his language is better because a Japanese childrens media phenomenon lacks retarded names like Reptincel instead of Charmeleon

Those things have dumb names anyway, so why do you complain about that?

France has the best language in the world, that's why you keep stealing our vocabulary

>pokémons
singular = pokémon
plural = pokémon
italy does it too
btw why did you name charmeleon reptincel?

they are ashamed of spanish because its associated with latams

We use the english names too

Reptile + étincelle (sparkle) = reptincel

Because your language is poor

Latin america had the last real literary movement, our language is better than frogspeak

Then why didn't you translate pokémon names ?

to avoid things like reptincel

you are ashamed of yourself

The pokémon names are the only thing that shouldn't be translated like the legendaries imo, they should be universal or at best just have a western/eastern version. Things like people, towns etc. are ok for localization thought.

>have a western/eastern version
That seems like the best way of doing it

ワロタ

Sounds more like reptile + incel

French for; Exeggcute is Nœunœuf
>Nœunœuf
How the hell do you say that?!

blogs.transparent.com/french/gotta-catch-em-all-pokemon-names-in-french/

WTF is wrong with reptincel? It's a great name
Nuh-Nuh-f

Don't overthink the œ. If you've learned a little bit of french you're probably familiar with the number 9, "neuf". Nœnœuf is pronounced neuneuf
