Sell your VeChain coins. Sell all shit supply chain solution coins. All china supply chain shits are not globally competitive. Even with current solutions and shipping company's. HAHAHAHAH. I am a freight forwarder so this is where we are heading to :D Centralized blockchain systems.
Bad news for Chainlink also as ClearWay is the middleman solution for IBM MAERSK centralized system. Ok, for Chainlink not big issue. As the market is wider for them than shipping tracking etc.
"To generate that data, both IBM and Maersk are running a node on the distributed ledger built using IBM Blockchain, with each of the ocean carriers also expected to plug in. To simplify future integrations, a series of application-processing interfaces (APIs) is also being released today along with the beta version of smart-contract platform ClearWay, which runs self-executing code that fills in for middlemen."
Sad that maerks and IBM did not chose Chainlink. How big the ClearWay is? Are they focusing only for supplychain? How big comoetitor is this for Chainlink?
Owen Myers
"Using blockchain smart contracts, TradeLens enables digital collaboration across the multiple parties involved in international trade. The trade document module, released under a beta program and called ClearWay, enables importers/exporters, customs brokers, trusted third parties such as Customs, other government agencies, and NGOs to collaborate in cross-organizational business processes and information exchanges, all backed by a secure, non-repudiable audit trail."
I think ClearWay its only for supply chain so Chainlink is on good waters.
But VeChain and other "muhh" Decentralized supply chain ICO shits HAHAHAHAHA
John Martin
ClearWay is a smartcontract platform, not very different from Accord or Openlaw. Accord and Openlaw are smartcontract platforms that make smartcontracts for law firms. ClearWay is a smartcontract platform for shipping. They will still want a decentralized oracle in order to maintain end-to-end decentralization, and chainlink is that solution.
Nathan Wood
Yawn. Old news and it's not a public platform.
Nolan Cooper
But what I understand that Tradelens it the platform. And Clearway the middleman like Chainlink
Jaxson Davis
From the article >To generate that data, both IBM and Maersk are running a node on the distributed ledger built using IBM Blockchain, with each of the ocean carriers also expected to plug in. To simplify future integrations, a series of application-processing interfaces (APIs) is also being released today along with the beta version of smart-contract platform ClearWay, which runs self-executing code that fills in for middlemen.
ClearWay is not a decentralized oracle service. They are a smartcontract platform.
Cooper Peterson
Ok ok, I am brainlet. I know more about supply chain.
But we can agree on that VeChain is dead all ready,
Owen Gonzalez
This just proves that supply chain blockchain isn’t just a meme. If I could buy a token for IBM and Maersk’s TradeLens, I would, but I can’t. So I’ll buy the best supply chain blockchain solution that I can: VeChain.
DNV GL isn’t exactly a small fry in supply chain logistics either.
The competition is very huge in supply chain and China logistic service providers are shit. VeChain can survive only in China.
Anthony Wright
I mean it's open source, I think it's about being the best, just because u can add mods to a game does not mean all mods are Good, this is a good thing, it's the future of business and finance, companies will grow the same way, eBay, Facebook, Twitter and 5chan, did from the internet.
Ayden Nguyen
>VeChain up 115% this week
Speculative market. It will crash down hard long term
Christian Miller
Vechain... the "Chinese" crypto that is such a scam they couldn't even register their business in China? LMFAO.... Vechain, the number one Chinese crypto /s but registered in Singapore, as if they were registered in china and made all of their BS claims, they would be in jail already... but shhh... don't tell anyone, vehchain really are Chinese, I promise... /s
>implying that veshit wasn't already BTFO'd completely
James Nguyen
Ooh look it's what everyone with half a brain has been saying for years
Why would big businesses adopt the current chains when they can just make their own and control every aspect of it? It's not like the code isn't all open source or anything.
Brody Perez
It need to be reminded in here time to time
Jaxon Cruz
even the chinese would be mad to register in china...
Carter Gonzalez
DNV GL is one of those big businesses. One of the largest supply chain businesses in the world. Instead of making their own blockchain solution they bought a stake in one: VeChain. And unlike TradeLens, you can buy tokens associated with it, isn't that great? It's a different approach than Maersk's, we'll see how it goes.
Joshua Flores
Let them stay poor
Brody Taylor
Good article, but keep in mind that TradeLens = blockchain built from hyperledger fabric Clearway = smart contract
still need an oracle function
Jeremiah Cox
there is no fkn way a business that provides lottery services and unnecessarily gamified incentives will appear professional enough for serious consideration. DNV is probably regretting their decision and thinking of dumping as we speak
Angel Phillips
Don't think so. They still tweet about it every couple of days.
This is a core part of their business going forward. Clients won't even know they're dealing with VeChain. DNV GL will offer them services backed by blockchain, VeChain doesn't even need to be directly involved with the client.
