I'm going to invest 800k on a housing project with a friend. Basically we're going to set up a house in a central area and sell it with profit. It's ez money but i can't do it without his capital.
The problem is that i don't know if i really can trust him. 4 years ago he ratted me out to a girl i was dating about how i thought she wasn't marriage-material >after that something inside of me tells me he will fuck me over again. Should we make a contract - incase what kind of contract? Should we involve a lawyer of some kind?
how much is he putting in? yes with that sort of money you should have something drawn up. Look to see whether it is better to open a company LLC and do it through that instead
Mason Taylor
Bring up the incident to him and check his reaction.
Justin Sanders
Half. We've done the numbers, in my country we get more profit doing it as regular people
Eli Rogers
He brushes it off and tells me his version. That i overreacted. Which i tell him i think is total bullshit, i don't care about the chick i just care about how much i can trust him
Samuel Lee
assume you can't trust him. is it worth it to go in with him?
Benjamin Turner
Uhm yeah, as long as I cover my ass. It's 60k profit each (atleast)
Wyatt Stewart
Trust your gut. 9/10 times, your gut is right.
Owen Bailey
Even if that incident hadn't occurred and you felt you probably could trust him, it would be a good idea to have a contract. You shouldn't be doing this on a simple gentleman's agreement unless you're CERTAIN you can trust him.
Grayson Rivera
true, will make a solid contract then. thanks guise
Landon Kelly
Yeah if you can't do it without his capital, chances are he's going to kick your ass to the curb after you're done. Then again by making a contract, it shows how much trust you have in him. Good luck OP, hope it all works out.
Brandon Torres
sign of market top, anonymous is going to invest 800k and 'sell it for profit' later on
In what ways do you think he can fuck you over? I am currently trying and setting up a couple of projects/business with friends and even though I haven't felled the need for contracts ("only" 40K invested so far less than you) I did try and come up with ways of fucking me over and how I would deal with that.
Cameron Turner
yes, you are moron if you dont have a contract. also who would get offended over a contract in buisness such as selling real estate. please dont be a brainlet and not have a contract. im telling you, you will get fucked even if hes a friend. just sign the dam contract and if he gives you to sign take it home to read it and spend 200 on a jew lawyer to read it over.
Joseph Butler
Nah
Gabriel Myers
frankly i think you have to be a fucking autist do be buying houses right now. In 2-3 years you can use that 800k to have 4 houses
Landon Taylor
Man if only there was some sort of system in place which allowed people to undergo an agreement under the penalty of civil charges...some sort of...ah! A contract! That's a good name for it!
Cameron Brooks
Also this. This is the epitome of buying high. You done fucked yourself. Tell your friend to buy gold or BTC or whatever and charge the going rate for investment advisers in your area
John Nelson
Yes, this btw
>Housing market in NL is now more expensive than ever >Bought house in Amsterdam 3 years ago >More than doubled in value >350K for a small two bedroom appartment in a muslim area
