Bought a CAT S61 not long ago. Extremely happy with it. Will never again buy normal phones that can't survive a rain shower or a simple drop. The S61 is built like a tank.

Despite factory resetting it twice the battery life is just awful.
I'm a light user with next to no apps installed, nothing active going on, etc yet at times processes unrelated to my activity like 'Android' 'System' eat half my battery on a day. And that already happened when the phone was brand new.

On top of that I feel less in control of my system than I did on an iPhone. Sometimes I randomly get a message from Google which football team scored and it takes a deep dive into the settings to turn it off. Or I just get a random message saying some app I never use is active in the background. So I turn said app off and from there on it tries to reboot and eats more power

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact from 2015, but the touch sensor has gotten increasingly buggy in the last two years (started just after the warranty, go figure) and it's not comfortably useable anymore, I'm only using it for the bare necessities like calls and important messages anymore and waiting for it to completely give up.

Not worth the risks. The entire platform rather works like a gambling house than a credible vendor. I would prefer to spend extra 10-50 bucks at local online stores which would save a great deal of delivery time as well

I've gone the other way from android to an iphone hand-me-down. It depends what you expect from your phone really but I will be switching back to android I think.
At least for now it's jailbroken I can adblock from the hosts file and use ++ apps.
