>apply for job >HR schedules interview with me >I choose one of their time slots >HR confirms time should i send a "thank you, see you on X date" email? (t. autist)
>tfw failed every interview I've been on >haven't had an interview in over 5 years (been at my current job for a while) >got my current job on pure luck >can't bullshit a behavioral question >>tell me a time when you had to resolve an issue >all issues at work have been pretty trivial >have no social skills and can't maintain eye contact, say "umms" and awkwardly pause a lot when speaking what do Jow Forums, kind of a "dream job" i'm applying for (currently in audit, applying for equity research position), how do i not fuck this up?
>>haven't had an interview in over 5 years (been at my current job for a while)
As you haven't been on an interview for five years, assume that your odds are 5%, and look at it as practice.
>all issues at work have been pretty trivial
Well think of one to go over and say it. If they say "What is a hard problem you had to solve" you can say "I can think for a second and then say, 'I can think of a problem I solved recently, but I'm not sure I can characterize it as very hard". They will probably tell you to say it, so they know what you do day to day. If you don't have one long one, maybe 2-3 short ones will do.
Don't forget "Tell me about your experience" or "Tell me about yourself". Keep it short - you don't want to ramble on for four minutes, or even three minutes. Don't just rattle off your resume, they've already read it. Tell a short story of your career. Practice into a iPhone/Android sound recorder and replay it - and if you go into 4-5 minutes don't even bother replaying. Over the phone I have bullet points I read off of. Less is more, they can always ask later.

Yes, reply to their email confirming the interview and thanking them for the opportunity
Also send thank you emails after every interview to everyone you interviewed with
Don't feel bad user, It's the same way for me. I've gotten a rejection from nearly every phone interview save a few. The few I did were jobs I didnt want.
What to do? Hire a Job coach. Yep! I got one last week. We're working on redoing my resume, rebranding my Linkedin, and he has connections to get me into some companies. Kinda like bribing someone to get you a job, but whatever, you gotta do what you gotta do.

If you're really autistic sure. Also be sure to send a followup email about 2 weeks after you apply. I've been wearing pic related to my interviews with insurance companies, is it not formal enough?
