Byteball Bytes (GBYTE) has been using oracles for the p2p flight delay insurance and it is working perfectly. It has multiple sources so it can be decentralised.
Oraclize uses some lib which was part of the LINK development. That’s what open source is about. It’s just a fucking lib, „running the same code“ is just wrong.
But it's not really. Just means more time to accumulate while we wait for smart contract adoption. I really doubt it'd be longer then 2022
