i miss even if i was just a baby
Do you miss the Portugal of the 90's?
I miss the Israel of the 90's. God-tier Rock music, leftists weren't huge faggots, rightists weren't soulless neocons, TV had actual original quality content, and h*redi scum didn't have political power.
noice
I miss the Israel of the 1920s
I miss even the France of the 90s go figure
based
lel
I like Portugal because it's like Spain in the 90s
I miss the 1500's
You were there? how it was?
The scurvy and claustrophobia was terrible...but the pussy, man, brown pussy by the thousands. And the glory...ah me and the lads against hordes of heretics and pagans and still beating them.
Those were the days.
kek and how it was Porto and Lisbon?
I like that song.
not bad
france was better after 1945 in terms of territory
i feel you haha
how was portugal under salazar?
>how was portugal under salazar?
my 2 cents:
Nationalist, catholic, he was not so much militaristic like for example franco or hitlr but intelectual, economist, anti-commie.
reached power after a nationalist coup in braga, and a march to lisbon, mussolni 1922 style.
Economic growth, stable finances, helped franco in the spanish civil war, neutral in the wwii.... repression against commies, no democracy, corporativism, fascist milicias, in the late 60's disastrous colonial wars in africa agaisnt the commie afromocvments there, that were supported by usa and ussr, where Portugal sent millions and millions to built the cities there and that's it. Had good things and bad things, but at least in those times Portugal (mainland) was close to be 100% native white,
shit. I didnt thought the colonies would be the cause for such a downfall.
nobody at the time knew how to deal with that
>Alexandra Lencastre
>Xutos & Pontapés
>Luís Figo
>Joaquim d'almeida
classic 90's
I miss the 90s because I was still a kid and even though my childhood was boring it was still better than now, being old, poor and alone
btw who is the dude, passing by at the 0.11-0.14 ?? some artist? i think so, because you can see next to him the ancient pictures of Amália Rodrigues, Amadeo Sousa Cardoso and Almada Negreiros and also some historical paitings from portugal
It was better that way, the colonies diserve to have their own history and sovereignty.
chill french cousin, you are still young.
The colonies got way too much investment Portugal should have received.
this.
Mozambique on portuguese rule:
Don´t know. only recognized Amália there.
What a dumb question
why?
You know damn well why. No need to admit it publicly, though.
ahum?
Stop listening to idiotic zoomers. They will put videos of our colonies being great in the part where Portuguese people lived and ignore the fact that we didn't give two shits about the parts where the Africans lived. Our finances also weren't stable. They were at the beggining, but by the time Salazar had died, we were one of the least developed countries in all of Europe.
The colonies were also not the reason for the downfall, our idiotic government was. Just look up the view of actual historians instead random stupid children from Jow Forums. It was a terrible place to live unless you were rich. I'm honestly so tired of stupid man-children in this country who could do the tiniest bit of fucking research but prefer to keep their hollow heads up their wide-open assholes and think "we didn't have any black people so it must have been great xDDD"
My portuguese relatives say that it was really shit in the 90s with all the heroin addicts and according to my father the traffic in lisbon was so bad that you couldn't really get around.
Do I miss portugal of the 90s?
Never been there back then so not really.
I can confirm this, my portuguese family fled from angola back in the 70s
cool story
